Haiti Earthquake...

This is a terrible natural disaster. Many thousands dead, many more injured/homeless or worse. I don't think we need any religious convictions or theories being expressed in this thread.
Please have some respect.

That whole situation down there is a real mess. All those thugs beating up on kids. Taking the little bit of food they're given. Walking around with big knives threatening people. They need to start shooting those bastards!

I'm all for helping my fellow man. I feel it's our duty as human beings.

For those that want help and want to be part of soemthing better they (US/Canada and anyone else) should just bring these people elsewhere.

I just heard about this earlier today. They're talking deaths in the hundreds of thousands.

I agree with you there. They have been having a lot of aftershocks and this was just the largest of the 10 or so aftershocks they have had. Whats even worse is off the cost of Jamaica there was a 5.0 quake the other day and specialist are now saying there could be another big quake in the region.

I worked with many Haitians in my day....and they're great people.....I just feel bad that mother earth had to hit them so hard.


Hope my donation helps them out some how.

Its cool to help, but to totally relocate??? It won't and couldn't happen...First, to learn a whole new culture, I dont think many Haitians could adapt to american views. Second, I dont think many people your relocateding them to would like them in their area. You dont/wouldnt know what type of person(s) your bringing in, look at the movie Scarface. Cuba sent us there people they didn't want, and florida in some areas are very scary...
All these people can do know is rebuild, my thing is where is all that trash going to go???

Seriously I get what your saying, but Canada and the US have areas that are unpopulated. Obviously this would take a TON of planning but seems like a better way. Haiti will never rebuild from this, the money is being wasted IMO. There has to be a better way to go about helping these people and helping those that really want to be helped.
