Well, sorry, but, we have enough problems feeding the people that are here now and finding them jobs. We take quite a few in every year from different countries as it is, legally and illegally. Time for other countries to open their gates for awhile if they want people relocated.

I'm not keen on what they want to do in that article at all. I don't believe in giving illegals anything, especially when there's so many legal citizens that can't get the same thing. Sorry, but that's just how I feel and I'm far from a heartless person.

Very well put. Could not agree more. With Millions out of work and our debt limit getting ready to be raised to over 14 Billion dollars we need to slam the brakes on sometime and look after our own country.

A close friend of mine from work still hasn't been able to contact any of his family members back in Haiti. This is insane. My heart goes to all those people, esp. the children that are now left without any parents. Please donate whatever you can.

I was referring to this article that I've posted above, though the story has changed a bit. They are talking about the illegal Haitians that are already in this country now and basically granting them immunity, jobs and money to go to college so they can help those with families in Haiti, for at least 18 months, though it will go longer than that I'm sure.

Also, you don't mind illegals? Ask California and some of the other states how they feel about the strain they're putting on the schools and medical systems alone. Everyone wants to help, but you can get carried away and shoot yourself in the foot.

That's always a worry with any charity. Even the leader of the Red Cross, in this piddley ass town of mine makes 6 figures.

I know there was a TON of money that came in during 9/11 and I still don't know for sure if that whole mess was straightened out.
