If H78 were to ooze anymore atmosphere it would become a planet.

The girls simply walking on the sidewalk oozes atmosphere.

I watched a review of H78 from an early 30’s person and they said the acting and dialogue from the girls in H78 was cringe worthy bad.

What a freaking idiot lol

Ok sure Linda babbling about what she always forgets if viewed at face value can be a head scratcher but it’s their dialogue that sold them as every day real girls what Debra Hill came up with was perfection.

But yes MF you are 100% correct it needed more creativity for the shape he is a fun character to be creative with but they lacked the artistic skills to create new iconic scenes with him.

I tell you MF I am hurting real bad over this lol

It feels like a Laurie story was always the intended focus and resetting Michael’s place in the Universe was just a means to making it make sense and “give people what they want.” I just think Michael wasn’t a focus and it shows. It does add to my appreciation of T2 which does a great job of balancing exploration of the impact of a traumatic event on someone while giving due attention to the other characters. This movie has a strong encouragement for victims to not let events define and rule your life, but the movie could have sold that just as well and done more with Michael.

Right now it fell short just 3 measly million dollars of Venom to make it best October opening ever lets see what the final numbers show tomorrow.

Either way on a 10 million budget (lol) that is a HUGE win for Akkad/Blum/Carpenter/JLC/Green/Mcbride and more importantly the Slasher Genre!

The slasher genre finally..finally made it to the big leagues after how many decades worth of cheese and failed attempts.

I never thought I would be saying this but the slasher genre is back.

Make no mistake about it Blum is on the phone right now with King/Cunningham/Miller trying to work out their differences like they did with Carpenter and Akkad.

F13th part 1 40th anniversary is rapidly approaching this just opened the door for the direct sequel with an aging Alice (AK never liked that she was killed in part 2).

F13th is in a huge state of legal mess though much worse than Halloween was so it’s going to take a ton of extra money on Blum to fix that mess lol

But he never takes no for an answer.

Remember the My Bloody Valentine remake in 3D that was fun lol

Good. We are closer to a Myers Vs Jason movie where both of them bust their way out of a retirement home to face off only for their backs to give in.

Imagine old man Myers sitting there watching Matlock repeats while Jason in the corner knitting a sweater.

The first one I set in that list is The Reanimator. The difference is RA had a good story also.....

I learned something new just now.

I wasn’t aware that a B+ Cinemascore is actually considered good enough for the horror genre.

Rule of thumb was always anything other than an A Cinemascore is considered just meh.

But per Cinemascore it’s an acceptable grade just for the horror genre.

Interesting.

The only thing good about the Halloween 2018 was the aged mask. Only 1 & 2 exist for me. Rob Zombie??? He should be drowned in a pool of activia for his "movies".

Just saw this earlier today.

Sweet mother of the Lord, what did I just watch? And more importantly, how on Earth does this have an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes?

Full review coming later but long story short, if you want a good and enjoyable Halloween movie, watch Goosebumps 2 and not this trash.
