Nosferatu was also only polystone/polyresin in the hands and head, and had a very basic base. It's not like the quality of PFs have been static all these years. Comparing Poison Ivy to say Dracula shows some pretty significant improvements and advancements over the years. Let's not forget that the cost of making these things has increased over the years as well. Then we've got the expensive licenses too. It's not black and white. It really isn't as simple "prices went up lol what a ripoff it was cheaper before."

in no way did i say it was a rip off... in no way did i say they didnt improve(but in some areas they havent)... im just saying they went up in price... which is a fact and they will go up in years to come

$250 was the basic price for a long time. Only Kirk, Spock and Orlock came in a $200, and there were fewer than 10 at $225.

Another thing to consider is that exclusives used to be $25 more expensive than regulars.

Exactly. If anyone here has played the video games, i.e. Arkham Asylum, Arkham City or Injustice, you will know Harley acts just like what the EX head portrays.

In fact, even in Injustice, her opening sequence before a battle is doing hopscotch and then sticking her tongue out at her opponent.

I love her sticking her tongue out, that is Harley. It's just I don't like her looking angry/scary screwing up her face like that. I don't think that is so much Harley looking.

I have no problem with Harley sticking out her tongue. But the EX head has her do that with the weird angry face at the same time which look odd. They could have had a more playful or mischievous expression.

Anyways, I've been waiting for someone to make a nice looking 1/4 PF of Harley for the longest time and she's up for PO in only a couple days from now!! So excited to lock in my order for the EX!!

Why thank you Sir, and since you're bringing it up, for your information I'm not buying it. WW will probably be my last SS purchase. Or a Myers PF if that ever happens. IMHO SS makes too high an ES these days and the price is no longer worth it to me. But... they had a great run back in the day and I bought some amazing pieces that I will cherish for as long as possible. (Not to take away from any of you new collectors, but things for me have changed regarding SS).

Think of it this way... you PO Harley, but the price is $10 more... you have probably a year to save up $10... so if each month you stash away ~0.83 cents, you're good to go.

Yea, I think I'm with you on this. After tax and shipping, this is gonna be around $400 and I don't think she's worth that to me. I can afford it but she's just not that central of a piece for me to dish out that much. I like how Harley looks but I think I'm gonna wait for Catwoman and Wonder Woman PFs. Those are must buys for me so I think I'm gonna have to stick to my guns here. Can't wait to see in hand pics of this though.

I can assure you all that there's something very big I wanted to say about my how I'm getting so much money for all my collectibles. Then again it will cause too much heat so that's why I'm leaving it alone. You all would be shock at some of the things I was going to say and would not beileve it anyways. believe me I do have 200k of toys in my house since 2006 now is even more.
As for money I don't like to throw it out because of a company asking for more just because they can. I just dont feel good about it. It feels like I'm getting had.
I think I will pass on this for now. Must think hard at PO day. Sure I love this one but I hate how the prices keep getting added on just because it can be.

why is the price increase such a big deal? i just bought a candy bar today for a buck that cost me 89 cents a year ago. prices go up in a bad economy, DEAL WITH IT!

i for one love this piece and will be getting it. i would have preferred a fully sculpted body but as long as the butt isn't a lumpy mess like baroness i will be happy. not such a big fan of the ex head but isn't that always the case?

The price increases probably isn't going to stop with Harley. So you might wanna start looking for a new hobby bro. I know I'm going to be getting out of the PF collecting hobby when they all reach around the $400-$500 range for a regular sized PF.

Oh and I don't need to know how you make your money. But, some pics of your quarter of a million dollar collection would be awesome! <~~ Not sarcasm.

On a lighter note, despite the price being slightly higher and some people hating the EX head, I'm definitely ordering the EX on Thursday.

I love Batman and his villains. For me, Batman, Joker, Harley, Ivy and Catwoman are all must haves. The others are only maybes.

The only maybes for me are non-Gotham characters. I passed on Superman for now. Wonder Woman may not be so easy. I didn't hesitate for a second on Batman, Joker, or Ivy. Same will go for Harley and hopefully Catwoman too. Sky's the limit after that.
