The fighting in Empire looked more like combat. It was clumsier and more desperate looking. The PT lightsaber fights were endless twirling and spinning.

Well and that all fits. In Empire Luke was still figuring everything out. He was clumsy because he lacked experience. In the prequel everyone was more well trained, people who had been at it their whole lives. It's the difference between watching a street fight and an olympic judo match.

They are very different, an I do love Empire. Hell, basically everything about Empire trumps the other movies for me. I just loved that one final duel in Ep1. The ending to it was stupid, but the choreography and flow was brilliantly executed. I wasn't as emotionally invested in it as other battles, but aesthetically it wins my money for best lightsaber duel.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

Just wanted to share my order experience with Amazon, I ordered 5 Sandys @ 19.99 when i got the package 4 were near mint in box the fifth box was bent and looked like somebody elses return! I decided to keep them all but keep in mind they are not looking at these as collectible holy grail pieces lol good luck everyone getting MIBs for wave 1

I admit I didn't like those spin actions from Maul & Kenobi near the end of the flick.

However Sir Alec Guinness did a very slow twirl while dueling with Vader. But that was back in the 70's.

Umm I should stop while I'm ahead....:monkey1

I finally found a new Sandtrooper to replace my old one with the messed up hand. I can't believe I'm saying this but I was very tempted to pick up Maul as well. He's a cool looking figure and I'm what you'd call a prequel hater.

Same here. Nolstagia for TPM hype is an underlying factor in addition to how cool of toys these are. I haven't seen him yet thankfully and I don't venture into the toy aisle often since I've got the other three so its unlikely I'll get him. If there were a Qui-Gon and TPM Obi-Wan, it'd be far more tempting.

Got Maul and Luke today. Now just need to track down a sandtrooper... Or two. Can't decide if I want to open these are not. I'm not really a MISB collector but the packaging on these is great and I kind of feel like I might be underwhelmed with them if i open and display them.

Well, its pretty collector friendly in terms of opening, and resealing later...I say open em

Any else have a Sandtrooper who has a pretty wonky right knee joint, or are they all this way?

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

My local Target has had 2 full sets on the shelf for the last few days. Its good to see Hasbro shipping more of these.

think i'm going to stick with bad guys of this line (unless they make a hero i just can't pass on)

how bad *** would a bounty hunter box set of these be.........:panic::panic::panic:

I came across the full series today at Target, didn't think I'd pick any up until I was holding Luke in my hands, yeah I got Luke. Very well made and painted.
Love the traditional hip articulation. The Mezco upside down hip joints used on recent Marvel Legends majorly suck, they're a pain in the *** to move the legs from sideways to forward movement. I can't imagine playing with that as a kid. They did it right on the SW Black figures.

I'll get a Han, Vader, Stormy, Leia, Boba, and maybe a Commander Cody and call it quits. I got burned out so bad on the smaller figures that I'm weary of jumping fully into this line.

$20 at Target, are these any cheaper at Walmart or the same?

There seems to be some play on both the knee joints on my Sandy, must be designed that way. Guess it would be worse if the joint was very tight.

Guys, has anyone started customizing the 6 inch figures, thinking about painting one of my Sandys black. Saw one on $bay looked pretty cool.

Saw Maul. My wife said "You always ***** and moan about the prequels with your friends, you're not spending $20 on a figure from a movie you don't even like."

She knows me so well. As cool as he was, I didn't argue and put him down. She's right, the hype about these figures will pass once wave 2 comes out and he will look out of place in my collection of OT figures. They had one Sandtrooper, one Luke, and two R2s. No bent legs or wonky paint apps, but either the lack of weathering or scale issues seem to making him be the shelf warmer thus far.

I highly doubt they'll ever do EU figures from this line at retail, but what about as exclusives? I can see CW stuff and Zahn Trilogy stuff being popular. I'd get Mara Jade and a Thrawn at the very least. A Kyle Katarn in some form would be an instant buy for me as well.

Picked up Stormie and Luke yesterday, will pick up R2 today. Will pass on Maul--not bad figure, but not a fan of the character and I am an OT fan. Bring on :wave 2
