Hbo should pull a Dexter and run with the story, making it a seperate entity on it's own, seperate of the books.

That's crazy talk. I've been reading the book and there are a handful of differences.

Not necessarily, They'll probably reintegrate the storyline (practically a requirement to keep the actors employed). Look what they did with Theon this year to keep him in the picture.

HBO should stick to the source on these at least until they catch up with the books and therefore have run out of source material. GRRM needs to get his butt in gear and write. Go all Alan Moore Hermit mode and don't show your face again until you've got the series finished

They catch up and run out of story at the end of season five, and in the season six opener, Old Nan is found miraculously alive after the sack of Winterfell, and immediately launches into relating the Tales of Dunk and Egg for an entire season
