One of the best shows ever! I'm hooked also its like watching Lord of the Rings meets the Tudors but way better than both! Can't wait til next season but I learned already not to invest my time into any character on this show because no one is safe!

Fixed.

I enjoyed season one, although there are moments when the limited TV budget shows through--like skipping over all of the huge epic battle scenes and just having six or seven guys ride up on horseback afterwards and tell us how the army of 18,000 soldiers just did in battle. This show is definitely well done, but they are going to have to find a way to do large scale scenes on a TV budget. They nail the smaller scale scenes, but now and then I am reminded that I am watching a TV show. There are only so many times that you can have a character get knocked out running into battle and then wake up after it's all over with.

Apparently they've been given a bigger budget for season 2 so hopefully we'll see some battles.

Will the blonde chick be back on the mainland this season? Her story is ____ing awful. She needs to be dead or a part of the game already. The guy that protects her is more interesting than she is, does he have a bigger part in the second book?

Although I've only read the first book, I do know she's still alive by book 6. And I'm also pretty sure she is the one the whole story will be about in the final book. I'm guessing the series is called A Song of Fire and Ice because it will be the Fire (her and her dragons) who saves everyone from the Ice (the Whitewalkers).

And no, I don't think she is on the mainland, but someone who has read 2 would know more then me.

:rotfl "Mainland" just say westeros. And her name is Danerys and the dude that protects her is Jorah Mormant and Yes he is more interesting.

People have made the connection that John is Ice and and Dany is Fire, but they are all just theories and speculation really.

My thoughts as well--- I think that's definitely the direction that the books are headed (for six and seven)... But again, mere speculation on my part.

Well I think really Jon would be Fire and the Other would be Ice.

If it is be believed that Jon is the one in the prophecy.

I think it has to do with R'hollor and Azor Ahai against the Great Other.

But there are all sorts of theories out there.

This speculation would best be served in the book thread as it deals with stuff not even revealed in the most recent book.

As for Season 2 - I just read an interview (looking for link) where the producers did say that they had a huge battle scene that they shot for season 2.

That is good to know, they must have saved all their money for the final battle then because they pretty much skipped over the battle at Riverrun.

Finally watched the movie after I read all three books this past week. Movie was good. Held true to the book. I enjoyed the behind the scenes look at what was going on with the Gamekeepers. Other then that, it wasn't anything special. I still didn't like the character of Katniss, which I hoped would change after watching the movie. But oh well, guess they did too good of a job of staying true to the book.:lol

Wrong thread?
