I hope those guys that don't like seeing bewbs skip Spartacus.

I don't mind some t&a or sex in a show if it feels integral. When it seems gratuitous, it's like the writers are saying "We don't believe that our narrative is strong enough, so we're going to do the adult equivalent of jingling shiny keys at a baby." Personally I think it's overdone on Spartacus as well, but there's no pretense that that show is anything other than a blood and sex orgy soap opera, albeit a very well done one. Game of Thrones feels to me like it's trying to be more than that, and when those gratuitous scenes pop up, it cheapens the show a bit imo.

Seems we're split into two groups:

1. People who don't care

2. The virgins who can't get through it without an erection.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Fixed. Certainly seems that way.

I also love of all the complaints it's just "humping instructions" and boobs but your all ok with some incestual snatch and grab on horseback.

That was point about sexposition - there is always story or character going on during the sex.

As for all the women being skanks - Arya, Sansa, Lady Stark - all pretty noble characters. Even the Queen - at least she keeps it in the family.

People complaining should watch Spartacus and see the differance, it's night and day.

Not to mention for these characters, murder, rape, and excess is something they live with everyday and when your day is finished, there isn't exactly a ton of entertainment especially for those who aren't of nobility. You can pretty much conspire, have sex or drink yourself to sleep.

Sexposition? Oh I see. They want you sit through mild porn for important things like... um.... Ros demonstrating how much she knows about sex. Certainly applying a term like "sexposition" is for no other purpose than to normalize a cheap ratings gimmick.

Cersei ____s more than just her relatives.

As for Arya and Sansa, that's a bit limited because of age, they couldn't show on TV even if it were in the book (although there would be some Sansa nudity if the actress was of age). There was a sex scene with Ned and Catelyn in the first book that they didn't show.

The term came from fan chat forums - but my point was that almost every single scene with sex also moves the plot and/or character development forward.

As was pointed out - unlike, say, "Spartacus".

GoT picked up for 3rd season! Yay!

I understand that some of sex scenes are wed to plot development. You statement acknowledged the existence of the what I am talking about. As you said "almost every single scene" etc.... It's the superfluous and gratuitous scenes not contained in your "almost every single scene" that I am talking about.

Hey! The GF said "Why is almost every female character a skank?". BIG difference. :rotfl

And it was more a tongue in cheek, incredulous observation, not a feminist "I'm never watching this again" rant.

I'm really digging the backstory on Theon, womanizer that he is, as well as the code of the Iron Islands. My favorite house sigil by far is the Greyjoy's Kraken, and I love their saying "What is dead may never die".

I also like Balon Greyjoy's banter with his son regarding Theon's jewelry.

"Did you pay the iron price...or the gold price?"

Fantastic stuff.

Littlefinger reminded the audience (and informs new viewers) he was a SOB in the scene with Ros.

People who are offended by the human form but don't mind violence worry me.

Oh please.
It's not like the nudity is being presented in a Rembrandt painting in a museum. The scenes in the brothel were the most base kind of sexuality that didn't help the story in any way. Even then I wasn't repulsed until the mouth wipe scene...

I am now 100% convinced people on this forum would _____ about being given money because it wasn't in the right denomination. :lol
