im a Resident Evil fanboy and??? ive only started collecting statues because displaying hot "toys" looked wrong but each to their own and there where Resident Evil statues made by gaya or something which i didn't like therefore i didn't buy but HCG have done a good job so far and you can only do so much with the Nemesis he has a big black coat with a few tentacles popping out the top the statue is fine. i cant see how people justify getting all the iron man Htoys when there isn't much difference in all the mark whatever armour but again each to their own. Nemesis is awesome

i love nemesis. hes a sick character. i feel that they could have done a more realistic take on him. he looks too toony for such an expensive piece. i also feel like they could have gave him a much better scenery to be in. its just so basic. one of us could have had a better idea on that. i take back fanboy that was gay. also i collect more than 12" figures so im not partial to those.

I just dont think HCG are as good at painting as they should be. They have some pieces where the sculpt is good enough to hide some of it. Other things do not lend themselves to covering weak paint jobs.

I keep really wanting to buy the 1:4 Alice but every time i get close to pressing buy i look around at the in hand pictures and the paintjob on the head puts me off. I really like the rest of the piece. It just seems when it comes to painting actual "skin" and eyes and things that are not articles of clothing they dont seem to know what they are doing.

I guess Im not so picky with the paint apps. As long as it isnt smudged and out of place and the statue is accurately depicting whatever it's supposed to be, I'm fine w/it. You can't perfect anything, and analyzing anything further than what it is depletes all the enjoyment you have for collecting. I have the 1:4 Alice coming in. Ive just recently became a fan of hers from the last two newer movie releases. Judging from pics, I like how the details came out w/the clothing, her boots, her hair and the face is accurately depicted. You cant please everybody, and when will they have another statue like her? I like it.

Sorry to hear that. Glad I haven't spent any money on a HCG statue. I really wanted the Alice statue, but yeah... Oh well, I guess I won't be getting the RE3 Jill one.

Ive had a couple of Predator pieces by HCG. The paintwork on the skin wasnt terrible but it also didnt give the effect of real (which id want as it was a 1:1 prop). I also had the HCG Predator 2 mask. The sculpt was fantastic ( given the mold was taken from the stunt mask of the movie ) but the paintwork was entirely wrong.

Im not anti-HCG. Im just disheartened that they have released a bunch of stuff that for one reason or another stops me from pulling the trigger and buying. I wanted the Licker Diorama but its undersized for 1:6. If i got and i didnt have any other 1:6 stuff it would be fine. But i want to display them with 1:6 HT RE figures and it would look out of place :-/

Its just one thing after another . Facepaint on Alice 1:4 looking un-human, Licker dio size being a bit small to display with what i wanted, Nemesis seems to be painted in a basic fashion.

thats why i go so nuts about it. they charge ALOT of money for something like this?!?!?! i hate to beat a dead horse but yeah things can be perfect. and for the money it damn sure should be. also, if its not theres plenty of fellow boardies with some crazy good hand skills that can make them perfect. anything can be perfect if you put some serious love into what you create. period. i feel that they know theyll get money just because its resident evil. trying too hard would just take away from their "EZ money" bank account.

A bad paint app to me is when i bought a Play Arts Kai Cyborg Ninja and there was what looked like a finger print smudge in the middle of he chest and the figure just looked like it was rushed and sloppy how bad is the paint app can you go into detail?. Im not to bothered about the base. Can someone post a good picture for detail ect and try to show it off with a little review maybe? Also can i ask how much you paid with shipping ect?.

It looks flat since there is ZERO texture on the paint. Nemesis has a gritty leathery tone to his flesh. Also his rocket launcher is inaccurate.

It's not sloppy it just needs better detail. It's not to bad but not good. Even the wife commented on the paint work, to me that is bad sign. she said it looked comical at best to cartoony.

I see what you mean with that pic, But the production shots didn't have that much detail so when i seen the in hand Nemesis statue it didnt look to different from the production photos therefore its fine by me. I can see that picture looks dark and gritty but if there are no paint mistakes then the pics i have seen don't look bad to me.

I'm telling you. Don't worry about it. The more you let people critisize something you like youre going to end up second guessing yourself. I have the thing in hand. There is no smudge, finger prints. No flaws other than what others have opinions on. Which is THEIR opinion. It doesnt take away from the fact that its spot on and looks like Nemesis. Im very happy for what I paid for, and Id do it again. I have licker as well and he's just as great. Now if I saw a flaw w/it Id say something. Until I get a bad HCG Resident Evil statue, I'm still going to keep purchasing the line.

I didnt buy zombie cop cuz it does look like the paint app looks pretty bad, but Nemesis is far beyond that. Decide how you will, but I think you'd be missing out on this great piece. I know an almost flawless statue when I see one, and I wouldnt be purchasing it unless otherwise. I still stand by what I said about licker and Nemesis. They look exactly how HCG displays their photos, at least w/this line. Thats what I wanted and thats what I have.

He has all these weird gashes where his right eye should be that were never on Nemesis to begin with. I also think they made him too muscular, he was stocky, not buff.

Now this photo looks like complete utter CRAP. I would not spend $300+ for this if it turned out the way it looks here.

I think the weird gashes are just HCG trying to add a bit of detail which is fine with me doesn't look badly out of place.
The zombie cop is an ok statue but the licker dio is quality they also did a good job with the Executioner.
I am taking Darkhumor's word and will buy this piece as when i first seen the in hand pics it looked great and there wasn't much difference to how HCG said it would look.
