Not to mention that all of the creative team know how the general populous felt that Season 2 was a let down (even though I liked it...) so I'm not surprised they are trying to tie up loose ends and erase a lot of Season 2 from the minds of watchers. I disagree that they don't know where to go with Sylar, in fact I think they are taking him into an interesting place where he is faced with morality and ethical issues repeatedly but I can't argue a case for Peter yet....

I was never a huge fan of Peter anyway, as I find Milo to be a bit of a one-note cipher. I'd rather the focus be on some of the other core characters. Even Nathan is more interesting to me.

I was thinking the other day, maybe Peter getting his powers taken away will make him have to be tougher to compensate for it. Rather like HRG can hold his own with the others without having any abilities. And maybe that will be what makes Peter a bit darker for the future.

Could his powers really be taken away? I mean, his main power is to adopt the powers of others, when he got close to his father he would have gotten his power to, so wouldn't it like cancel out for his father to try to take Peter's powers since Peter has the power to take powers too?

Peter would have gained his father's ability but that ability needs to be activated and he was naive and thought his father wouldn't do anything. He could have counteracted the power if he was aware but he didn't have the foresight.

Would he have been able to activate the power without knowing what it was, though? I suppose once he started losing his he would know, but maybe by then it was too late.

Wouldn't be believable to me. He just barely passed as a badass sometimes with all of the powers. Without them, he's just a whining weenie.

A return of Claude would be :rock

But he's probably still too busy filming as Destro in the upcoming G.I. JOE terribleness.

Love me some Eccleston, would gladly welcome him back. Don't think his character would really fit in anywhere, but it would be good to see him again.

As I watched the episode again, I kind of liked the Adam, portrait of dorian grey, scene where he died. Even though I love David Anders, he wasn't really necessary anymore, just wished he didn't go out like a little ^^^^^

Recall how in Season2 Peter lost his powers, and then developed them again. Just cos his Dad sucked it out of him doesnt mean he cant recall it like before. I'll venture to say that we havent seen the last of Peter and that he has an ace up his sleeve, but as usual he doesnt know about it yet.

Season 2 is a different thing though. In Season 2 he didn't remember he was a super, the powers were random and once he knew how to do things like lightning then he used it. He never lost the powers just the knowledge of how to do it.

I just wish that they would have left him in the coffin until they had need for him. Even if they never used him again, at least he would be there until if they found a better use for him.

Well, essentially Peter is a symbiotic leech. He doesnt STEAL powers, but he can use them. So, my question becomes...who's power is greater? His fathers or his. If Peter's power is stronger he may have absorbed his FATHERS power...which means at a touch he can get them back.

Lets face it....the future they try to prevent ALWAYS comes to pass except for the reallly really bad stuff. Which means future peter will have powers and thus this is obviously not perminent. Either way...I hate when supes lose all power. Its just lame. Its like in Smallville when every bad guy accidentally has kryptonite on them, in them or around them in thier seceret base.

I'd also like to point out that now Peter's father should have "The Hunger". Which could totally undo his calm and collected plans.

AND...how the hell DOES Peter get his powers anyway? I just assumed it was just being in proximity...but come to think of it all the powers he has he has gained AFTER touching someone. Meaning he may have exactly his fathers ability.

He got Ted's (nuclear man) ability without ever touching him, although I wonder why he didn't have Sylar's ability to see how things work, he had gotten the telekinesis power when they first met so it's kind of strange he only just got it now.

I'm guessing it has something to do with Sylar having him figure out the watch. Maybe he had the power but not the understanding how to work it.
