I could've swore there was a teaser pic of a standing fig, but now that I think about it, that was probably just a promo picture for the movie itself.

I do hope that HT gets around to making an Olivia Wilde figure, even though female figs aren't the best sellers...

Please fellow Freaks! Let's keep this thread about the figure!

I hate reading reviews and stuff about films before I've seen them. I like to make up my own opinion without being affected by critics beforehand. So I'd like to ask to keep the talk about the film in the appropriate film thread and discuss this figure and possible future Tron fig speculation in this thread!

Also when the film hits theatres on the 17th, I'd like to ask to keep the spoilers and everything out of this thread. I have to wait till January 26th before I can see this film. Yes, you read that right! January 26th! That will be the date on which this film will open in my crappy country...

Since I pre-ordered this thing yesterday yess, I'd like to keep up-to-date on news about this set, without having the film spoiled, so please try to avoid posting spoilers.

I think you are right. I really hope this line will get the attention that it deserves. The character designs are just too awesome.

If HT makes Kevin Flynn and Quorra besides this Lightcycle, then I'll be a very happy guy!!

Haha, you're calling people immature and you give us that? I like telling people to shut up when they need to be told that. I don't do it often. Here's why:

i'm no lemming, trust me. i'm a student of films. i watch films and read about films religiously. and in all those time i've come to learn to appreciate reviews, and i meant reviews by reviewers who know what they're talking about, not just some 'fanboy' reviews in some internet forum who are clueless about filmmaking. and it is in my experience that when reviewers are almost unanimous in saying a film is so and so, it is usually right, for me.

but of course, you can make the crappiest film ever, and there'll still be people that think it's actually great cinema.

A student of film should want to see the film for himself to make an honest opinion. You're forming yours based on others. That's not what a student does. That's not what someone who watches movies religiously does.

Soo.... if as you say that you're not buying *THIS* toy based on a bunch of reviews, why hang around? Why bother talking about a toy that you don't plan on owning? Life can't be THAT boring can it? I'm in here because I haven't made a decision yet. What's your excuse? Honestly. What's your excuse? You seem to have made up your mind already. Is there any chance at all that you might like a lot of what's in Tron Legacy?

what, like shooting a highschool play or wedding video or some such? not that there's anything wrong with it if that's your calling in life.

i dont know you from adam. so if i dont know what it is you do, what makes you think i want to do what you do?

When I started out I did plays and Weddings, mostly I do commercials and TV segments now. You would be surprised at how much you can make doing the former.

I admit I don't know what you want to do, but I would imagine being a film student would give some insight into your aspirations.

Good luck with whatever you are going for, I just know a lot of people with fine arts degrees in film making who work in retail and service now, some in education (which is great) but very few in actual filmmaking. It's nice to have a dream, just reality can be a bit cruel.

The proportions seem off. What do you think?

I feel like the front needs to slope up a little more and the figure needs to be lower to the bike. Also it seems to be a little long. The mid section needs to be shortened. Still dig it though. Thoughts?

What are you comparing it to that makes it seem off?

I'm guessing they used computer files as a base so I doubt it's off

Did I miss something? According to SideShow the figure will be released 3rd quarter 2011. When I pre-ordered mine I spoke with SideShow and they said Aug 2011.

The film reference is Clu's lightcycle. The photo of the toy is Sam's lightcycle. They're not the same.

there should be some kind of standard deal to have franchise products released around the same time as the film itself, i mean waiting nearly a year for this is stupid, they're not gonna be capitolising on the hype of the film at the time of release, why couldn't Hot Toys have gotten the specs for the lightcycle, character etc... while it was in early production to release the product around the same time as release

I mean with hasbro and toybiz and other toy companies like that they have their products out Before the films are even released, so they must have inside access to the details and design of the films very early on.
