This movie has grown on me: At first I was like it's okay and then the second time I watched it I loved the movie!!! The music ,the scenes with the lightcycle battle, everything! Definitly getting sam flyn with the light cycle!!!

I don't know if i will pick this up, but i agree with you 100%, this movie gets better with each watch... at first i was like "it's ok", but now i freaking love it... it's so visually stunning and action packed!

Gotta agree, this movie gets better and better. Loved the music so much that I went out and bought the soundtrack and the remix versions too. Only thing is that I wished I had a 3D tv.

It looks fantastic on my 50"3D TV!


I still think the middle section is really dull though, everything from the light cycle race up to Castor. Great first half, then it just stopped and became exposition central before getting way too heavy with the Star Wars reference. The soundtrack on the other hand is awesome. Try and get the full version. With all the bonus tracks, 33 in total if I remember correctly.

I don't mind the "boring" parts in Kevin's place. Its when we get to Castor that the film goes down for me. I would much prefer they go straight from Kevin's to Clu's barracks. Maybe add a chase scene with Flynns light cycle, the dragster, and Clu's men instead of the bar scene.

Man that Castor scene takes a beating from people

I like his character oddly enough and I like the fight scene in his club with what happens to Quorra and the entire atmospheric and energy shift when Flynn arrives

I'd hate to delete a rare fight sequence like that in exchange for another chase scene considering we already have the games scene on the light cycles and the chase scene where both Flynn's and Quorra are in the flyer.

I thought the games grid was not used enough. Disc wars and light cycles were awesome, I thought when Sam took Flynns Light cycle we were gonna have another kick ass chase but no. We got some strangely edited homage Star Wars scenes. I mean c'mon what was the point of the Castor/Zeus deception, I could almost hear "speaking to him you are..in yoda voice". Then Flynn "force" mind bending one of the bad guys like Obi Wan, Sam on the turret like Luke in the falcon..yawn, how about making a Tron movie? The music held it together for me, just about.
The flying sequences were dull I thought, as was Clu's army scenes ("He's building an army" Obiwan in from a high angle in Phantom menace).
I could go on, but I won't.

Needs more light cycles..I mean cowbell.

well it's official... the rest of HT's plans for further tron legacy figures is "on hold" due to scheduling problems.

read "on hold" as "cancelled" and "scheduling problems" as "we did our usual thing of jumping on every huge license on the planet, getting fans excited, producing pretty much nothing, and moving on".

Hopefully, it doesn't mean cancelled, but who knows. So much gets lost in translation. I remember last December they teased an announcement by using the word "force" making everyone thing they were going to announce Star Wars product and they announced Indiana Jones instead. Typically pending would mean something is still in the pipeline but with Google translate sometimes it is still hard to figure out what it said. This is what I got:

"Unfortunately, scheduling problems, had planned to [Tron: The Legacy] has been pending with the following product planning."

I guess it could mean additional product is taking longer to produce than thought. or, Product is planned but with all their releases they haven't decide when a good marketing window is. Or, it is euphemism for "We are done, but we don't' want to say that so people will still buy what is coming out."

i speak japanese dude. the proper translation is "on hold" because of "problems with their schedule" (i.e. they're too busy with other products to do more from tron). in 1/6 langauge that generally means "we're pretty much bailing on the line, but we don't want to piss people off so we say it ambiguously".
