That's a bit worrying, i wonder why?

if you're wondering why it hasn't been lit up at other conventions, I'd assume the reason it b/c they haven't figured out all the kinks yet i.e. why it's not set to be released until March 2012. I'm sure HT definitely doesn't want a dozen complaints about lights not working or missing components and such. I think it's at least safe to say that with this figure, it seems like they're taking their time to hopefully have QC issues down to a minimum

I hope thats the case, they should'nt have put it up for order though if they didnt have a fully working prototype.

I cant believe this still isnt out, :lol I really want HT to do a basic 1 6 articulated figure, I dont even care if the suit doesnt light up, just use white paint for all i care, this movie was too cool to only get a statue

Wasn't sure where else to post this, but are there any custom 1/6 figs based on the 1982 Tron shown on Sideshowfreaks? Haven't been able to find anything...

Here are mine. Have a look in the customs section, Spenser has made these beauties..

:yess:

All made by Spenser, he has a thread in the customs section. Decals for bases by Evilface he has a thread also.
These are a must have for Tron fans!

Customs section is at bottom of main page.

Any chance of this being an articulated figure? thats the only way I could get interest on buying it.

I originally cared if it was articulated or not, but now, I just want the freaking thing in my display case with Kevin Flynn. I think it's going to look outstanding once it's finally out and working properly

I'm cool with the figure not being fully articulated because I think the bike would look weird without a rider on it. If they did do a regular release of an articulated Sam I wouldn't hesitate picking it up.

I'll pick it up when I see some in hand pics. Right now im on the fence but I know as soon as its released i'll want it.

This is where I'm at too. If the lights are really lame or it feels/look cheap I'm going to pass. I'm hoping for the best, just don't feel I can pre-order. And it really bums me out they haven't announced anyone like Rinzler or Quorra or someone.

I'd like to know via an official update on what the scoop with the dealy is, even if it's for revisions/improvements.

I've been hoping that the delay on this piece means they sunk so much time and money into research and development that in order to turn a profit they are planning to release a couple more figures.

I just don't really understand why Sideshow is so mum on the issue. One would think that they would be in constant communication with Hot Toys considering they have partnered up on this item.

They aren't partnered on this at all--Hot Toys is making it, Sideshow is one of their sellers. Only Hot Toys knows when it will be released.

I see. I never knew that, I always thought that Hot Toys and Sideshow partnered on some items. Do you happen to know why the black out on this particular project, other than the rumors on lighting?

Hot Toys website is under construction. The only info I got was from Sideshow just now, that the release date has been pushed to 1st quarter 2012. BBTS still has the release date as 4th quarter 2011. So its now pushed back a year. Unreal. I emailed Hot Toys, and messaged them on Facebook........all to no avail.
