Nice shot, he looks good with his hair "combed"
As a whole the figure needs more futzing. I'm actually fixing the dreads right now. I have the P1 head on in that shot. I just couldn't stand looking at it the way it came out of the box.

Oh haha, ya fooled me. Yeah that's the only nag I have with the pics I've seen. It doesn't look dreadful (pun intended) but its just sorta...eeeeh.

I just got this figure yesterday and I'm kinda thinking about putting him up in the want to trade section for a BD P2. Anyone think I'm crazy? Should I wait to see if Hot Toys ever remakes the P2, because I'll never buy him for the price that he goes for. Also, does anyone think that anyone would even go for such a trade?

I really want a P2, but if they ever remake him I'll seriously regret trading away the Guardian as he is my favorite of the Lost Predators.

Can anyone help me with this quandary?
:dunno

Its hard to say definitively whether or not HT would revisit the P2. On the one hand you could say its as unlikely as them going back and remaking all the USCMs from Aliens but on the other hand they're not currently making any new USCMs that are making the old ones look outdated. They are making new Predators in a more appropriate scale though and in a new aesthetic and I wonder might this make HT decide to go back and remake the 2 original predators - annoying though that would be for some.

I'd wait awhile if I were you. The Guardian will still be in demand later on.

Only reason they are remaking P1 is because of the new film. Cant see them remaking any of the old preds

if i had two of them i would trade you however i only have one. i dont think ur crazy and its not a bad trade considering p2 is worth just as much as guardy now... plus he is the star predator of the movie.

My opinion on this probably isn't going to be popular, but I kind of don't like the fact that they're releasing the classic Predator from this movie with an updated body. It's not that I care about resale value or having something that others can't afford, it's just that I'd like to display this one with my Hot Toys Predator collection including two regular Predator 1 figures, and it's probably going to look out of place.

I fear this will end up being like when the Dark Knight Original Costume Batman was released and he made the Batman Begins figure look horrible.

Just a few snaps before I put him away until house move and I buy a few more from pred 2

i really wouldn't worry about getting the Classic. based on how badly HT ____ed up the Berserker's head, i doubt the Classic will be an improvement over the P1. the only thing that would make me want it is if they actually make it the right size and they haven't made ANY of their pred figures the right size so far.

their preds are getting exponentially inaccurate as of late and i don't think i'll be getting any more if it keeps up.

Does anyone know how to attach that pod to the back next to the plasma caster? It can kind of sit there, but it's all wobbly and won't snap in at all.

Not that it's a big deal. You can't even see it unless you display him from the back, but I'd like it attached if I can.

For the record, they aren't "remaking" P1. They're doing a figure of the Classic predator. This is probably the main reason for the new body to further separate the two figures.

That's what I ment. BTW did the classic even have a wrist blade
Trying to remeber what gear he had.
