I agree. I've pre-ordered it. I will be displaying him without his bio too. Love those oversized mandibles.

Yea I'm totally glad they fixed that. The prototype pictures looked terrible with those bent inwards mandibles. I actually like the movie accurate look a lot more. But chances are I'll probably display him with the bio on which is what I do with all of my preds.

Got mine today. The figure is great. I can't fathom why anyone is selling because they suddenly don't like it, if indeed that is the case. We all knew it was basically a rehash with a few new bits and theres no other surprises good or bad that we didn't know about.

But anyway cool figure, love the biomask, this figures raison d'etre, and the colour scheme is splendid whether its accurate or not.

Only thing is I'm glad I'm not too fussy about the condition of the box. Its got scuff marks aplenty and 2 crumpled corners.

Same here but one crumpled corner.

I love the paint work on him

Nice, any tips on how you pulled this off?
Hot water. Boiled water. Dipped the head for 10 seconds. Shook water out. Wrapped dreads with the cut opening of an old sock. Wrapped that with a grocery rubber band. Put it in the freezer for about a minute. Let it sit for a day or two.
The dreads can look okay after some messing around with.

After seeing some recent pics I agree they can look good. I guess I'm just not a fan of anything AVP, 'cause even with the mods I still don't like them. Alice stated earlier in this thread he didn't like the design of the AVP Predators which inturn made him not like the figures. The dreads were a big part of why I didn't get these figures, but in the end I probably didn't get them because I'm just not a fan of the designs in AVP.

So with the hairdryer, you just use it on the dreads for how much? Then do you put it in the freezer?

@EndIessRAlN: Tried again just now -- same error. WTF, these forums are the only ones I've ever had this sort of problem with...

Elastic band round the head to keep the dreeds flat to the side of the head, hairdryer to get the dreeds nice & hot about 40/50 sec,s. Then finish of in the freezer for about a minute.

I was able to get one from DarthCollector for a reasonable trade.
It arrived last Friday, and I have to say that it is pretty damn cool. To whoever is going to use the boiling water method to get the dreds to lay down, don't leave the head in the water for too long. I think I saw someone else post that 10 seconds was good, and I agree with that.
I wasn't paying attention to the time and the results almost made me want to cry. Several dreds broke off and a large number of them tore.:monkey2
I'm not planning on getting rid of it, so I removed all of the dreds. I then removed the dreds from my "Lost" Predator, and put them on Guardian. They look good enough to me and I'm pleased with them.
I know the figure is not "original", but like I said, I'm gonna keep him.

Here are some pics
