I wrapped the dreads down with a thin cloth and then I used a hair dryer to heat them up around the upper area where they are inserted. Careful not to over do it. Imediately after I'll dump the head into some cold water to keep the form. I work it back and forth until they look right.

Good enough for me. I really need to take some pics of my Gort. I wanna make a new sig out of all the Lost Clan. Tried to fit a P1 bio over the P2 head to make him look like the P1 hybrid from P2. That sucker wouldn't fit for shhhh__.

I'm in the same boat Ski. Plus, I need to find some relaxing time with no noise and no kids running around so I can start the ritual of opening the figure calmly and fully appreciate the whole experience.
I have two friends who always go to SDCC and buy at least one of every exclusive. They told me that they had purchased a Guardian Predator from Sideshow and used their points to knock the price down at which time yesterday they asked if I wanted to buy them knowing I love Predator. When I asked how much, the said, $75, they only had to pay $25 for taxes and shipping, when I told them they could probably get $225 for them, they didn't care, they are not ebay or board members. So of course I bought them and now I have 3 of them, one I have opened and displayed and 2 in the box. SCORE!!

That's strange... I'm not doubting your friend but, I had used my reward points to order my predator (non-attendee) and then Michael from SSC's customer service, contacted me to let me know that reward points can't be used on Convention exclusives. He put my points back in my account and I had to pay full price. I will have to ask CS what's up with that.
