I hope HT hits the Renner sculpt out of the park. I know it can be difficult when the actor doesn't have any extraordinary facial features, like the Predators Royce character which made for a great figure sculpt.

Hulk n nothin else. Just hope the joint isn't as horrible as I think it'll be, knowing how HT does things. This may just be my first Hot Toys. I am sure they'll have a huge ES and reproduce it in the future with version 2, LOL. I kinna like movie Capt but this Avenger Capt looks weird with the uniform. Oh well, not like I am gonna buy anything else anyway....LOL, I am so bias.

Exposed joints account for 90% of high end figures



if they go the muscle body route, which the teaser indicates, they should enable the arms to pop out and include standard TT multi-articulated forearms for "bow" poses

Yes, but I still don't like the exposed joints. I thought the industry was going to improve the Rubber skin-hidden articulation, but it seems it's just not feasible/profitable at the moment. Oh well, I'm sure Hawkeye will still look good.

if you dont like functional joints, just get PFs...there will never be articulated figures with hidden joints that look right. I mean, hell, they cant even hide the joints good enough on figure like Iron Man.

I prefer joints that work properly and show than hidden ones that suck like on Redfield and Dutch...

Agreed! If you want an action figure, then you have to accept joints as well.
The rubber arms might look a bit better than regular jointed ones, but the articulation suffers so much from it. It really sucks!

I honestly think that in 5 to 10 years we could have action figures with no visible joints. Something along the lines of a rubber body type material (that doesn't actually hinders articulation) over a posable "skeleton"... much like a Terminator. I can't see why it wouldn't be feasible

even then, it would bunch up and breakdown with movement...

I really have NO issue with elbow joints at all, even when they show (like they will in hawkeye)

I also have no issue with the head being separate from the neck since it gives in much more natural movement. In fact, the only thing i dislike about my blade figure is that his head is one piece with his neck. Cant get him to look down or ____ his head to one side...

Can't wait to see what HT comes up with when they do Hulk.
They sure are going to upset a lot of people with this one because you can't have both. Either the joints show or it's a rubber suit.

All these people complaining about hinges or rubber bodies...I garuntee every one of you that can afford it (and some who cant or shouldnt) will still be pre ordering it. So instead of the negative..lets be positive...when he is sitting in your detolf you wont notice hinges or rubber bunch ups anyway

We'll see when they debut this Hulk Avenger. If its over-priced, I'll just save for bigger, like PF or LSF. If its bad jointed, I'll just get lower/cheaper end toys.

I agree with you as far as the rubber covered joints are concerned. They usually end up working just fine for me, USUALLY, cuz I tend to NOT put my figs in poses that require to much bending. When it comes to figures like this or Whistler, HT should include molded/sculpted arms for use with the bows, until something better comes along. I don't like the way the elbow "skin" bunches up when bent.. But if anybody can figure out how to make it work with a slightly thinner "skin" or something, then it is HT.
