I just wanna say, before all the haters and naysayers get in here; this figure is perfect. It's a new body, great hair, great likeness; it's better than the real thing in ways! Your complaining won't affect me. Hot Toys, DON'T CHANGE A THING. I love accuracy, but there is a point where liberties need to be taken. I'm glad Hot Toys took liberties on certain things here. Thank you, this IS Black Widow to me. P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

how are people saying the likeness doesn't pop out? first thing i see is scarjo.
and people are complaining it's too skinny? uh well maybe since she is a bit thick in certain areas.

I wonder if we'll get another figure reveal tomorrow, kind of like how Spidey was teased basically right after Widow. I can hope anyway! I'm so happy with the Avengers!

I wanted sculpted hair too, but I think I prefer this. As long as I can keep it nice then I'm happy. I'm getting some detolfs soon and I'll be sealing them so hopefully that'll help a lot.
Also, I know we'll hear complaints, it's just life, but I love her expression! I think this is Hot Toys best female sculpt and expression yet. It has subtle points that just give her this determined, confident, get the job done look.
Anyone think that since we're getting this Chitauri weapons, it's leading to a Chitauri figure? I mean, why else give Cap and Black Widow these accessories?

holy effin ____! She looks gorgeous! Its worth the wait, I've been waiting for her. She's finally here.
One nitpick though, the body is a lil bit slimmer than I thought it would be, but other than she PERFECT!!

Because they use them in the film and hope that these extra accessories justify the price.
However having one is entirely possible but i'd put them in the category of the Iron Man Drones.

While my personal reaction toward the proto is not more estatic, it's more because the proto just didn't match what I was expecting However, I do agree this is a good representation of Widow. I like that you can see Loki's interrogation chamber in the background

They could have went with other accessories or left them out. Hot Toys don't just include accessories to justify the price, imo. lol. It just seems like pointless to include them unless you can display them fighting Chitauri. That's the only scenes were they are used. They know most people are going to display the Avengers together in a non fighting team display, so where is the incentive to include these? I think doing a Chitauri would encourage people to buy more Avengers figures to build that scene. Plus Howard Chan did say they were going to expand beyond the confirmed 8 figures and do 10-12 recently. The Avengers doesn't seem to be losing any steam, and it would tie in with The Avengers Directors Cut that is rumored to be released at some point in theaters.

Rooted hair are well done but it doesn't make any sense given thor had sculpted one. It breaks the uniformity IMO.

Much, much, much better than the first version. Didn't want rooted hair, but I still like what they did with the figure. Heck, I was intending to get them all anyway. I still think all of them together on one shelf with make up for all the issues anyone has with the figures.
