Ahhh, the age old Enterbay Vs Hot Toys. I remember when it all first started, I think it was the Godfather figures, then the T-800's and now the great Robocop debacle. I say buy what you like and be happy, there's more than enough reviews, photos, and comparisons to have made an educated choice by now. If you still can't figure it out what you like now I don't know what could convince you:lol

I think both are nice figures, with the Enterbay you get a giant figure with motorized holster and head, bunch of robo 3 stuff like a jet pack and unmasked Robert Burke head sculpt.

With Hot Toys you get a diecast talking Robocop 1 with a docking chair if you went that route.

Quality wise I would say Hot Toys wins, I haven't heard the best things about Enterbay, with the hands that fall apart and various malfunctions of the motorized gimmicks.

I didn't know that about the hands or the gimmicks, that's sad considering you are paying top dollar for the gimmicks :(

. Like Fran said earlier, it's about getting the best robo figure possible, without a bias on companies. IMO, these are the two best so I hope the comparison is ok and normal for most figures
But you are spot on with those eb hands, compete garbage, especially at the price I paid. In taking the pics a page back, I had two of the figures fall out!
No malfunctioning on mine for now, but I hardly use it. In fact, only used when I need to move the head left or right which is a joke

I love both, but I prefer one. I will get the HT one again for sure (or not) if I can find it cheaper. A new Optmius Prime statue is about to come out, and I need every single available cent.

Seriously guys, you can't go wrong with either. Smile.

This review is what turned me off to the enterbay version back when I was considering it.

i do remember seeing that video prior to getting mine, the cheap comments didnt scare me as i was dead set on getting it, but he has some balid points(hands, etc)
an alternate perspective

And please don't take this as an attempt of me trying to convince you to get it :)

Yeah, the hands on that thing are hideous.

I'm sure ********* Bill cut corners there and bought another Ferrari. ****er.

Segregation! Go stay in your thread! :wink1: I hope you and Fran don't think I hate you 2, its good to have a great partner to face, kinda like wrestling has Rock VS Austin etc.

Equally we did have a member here get a HT with a broken off arm and there's plenty of imperfect paint applications on both the EB and the HT. And they are both silver, not the colour he is in the film. Like The Skull says, take your pick... and then post it here :)

It was actually a leg, the arm got stuck right back on, them Chinese don't know how to pack things I swear, oh **** that just sounded racist ugh.

Oh man, those were the days. It was like a PPV every Monday.

And even though I'm going to Wrestlemania next year, I'm not expecting to be wowed. Have some friends in SF I'll be visiting and that's just a bonus. Tickets weren't that bad either.

I love a healthy debate, probably too much
No hard feelings brosef

I understand wanting the best, we all do. I have one enterbay figure in my collection and its the T-800, really nice figure, top notch accessories (wood and metal) and even a spring loaded clip for the handgun, super impressive stuff, but the body is garbage. The rest of my collection is full of many Hot Toys, reason one is they make stuff I want, sci-fi stuff like terminator, predator, Robocop, and superheros, enterbay makes mostly stuff I don't like, NBA, MIB, Mr. Bean, and so on.

Reason 2 is quality, Hot toys has had issues here and there don't get me wrong, but overall they produce well built and very high quality stuff, enterbay can make a beautiful head sculpt and accessories but after that its down hill.

Reason 3 is Price, even though hot toys is not cheap, enterbay tends to be even more, and when you consider the quality between them there's a hard pill to swallow.

Can't argue with any of that. :goodpost:

FYI, eb robo has more ab articulation than I gave it credit for, was able to arch his back and I wasn't aware of this prior

You do reviews on youtube if I remember correctly right? You should film a comparison between them both seeing as you got them, I would like to see it for a video perspective:)

Whoops, meant to post that in the eb thread, not this one. I'll delete it
And no sir, I haven't done any reviews. Need to get a decent camera before I start putting stuff out

Okay, noticed a couple reviews had similar shots and lighting. So one last comparison. As was said by others people will make their own choice after all. Until we have a side by side video review this is the best I could do.

I now officially hate you,(never been to a Wrestlemania its on my bucket list) I live a hour and half away from the bay, I didn't get tickets because of all these Hot Toys! The timing was bad, I've been a mark since the Hogan era, then became a smark and started to love HBK more still do that iron man match is perfect. Now all I watch is ROH and NXT, :(

I tried my best to match the "let the woman go, you are under arrest pose" from a couple pages back
Same lighting, tried to make sure I was at the same angle, etc. the eb version has limited arm articulation, so those pics will have robos left arm slightly lower
And one last disclaimer, I stink at posing and taking pics, camera is an iPhone

Thanks for taking those! Limitations of a phone camera aside, I think you did a fine job.

They both look great, I think. A person would be lucky to own either! But I do persoanlly prefer the less matte look and greater color variations of the Hot Toys figure.

Agreed, great comparison pics 5X10:hi5:

also nice job Riggs, but the lighting seems different in those shots.
Thanks fellas!
