I can't seem to resist buying multiples of my core favourites but in doing so I definitely diminish them in a way. Having many of them (and all bunched together such as mine are) makes them look cheap because anyone looking at my collection who didn't know better would assume they must have been cheap.
A single representation of a character (2 or even 3 being permissible if they look different enough) looks classier - ideally still displayed one per shelf.

Yeah I agree. Though I admit if these were more affordable I would definitely be all about getting multiples. It's hard enough for me to justify getting one of these HT figures with these ridiculous prices, let alone two. Now it seems like something I don't have to worry about anymore, as they're not making anything that really interests me anyway. I've got Doc and Marty from BTTF part 2, after that I'm done with Hot Toys unless they go back to Terminator, and I don't think that's ever going to happen. I can't wait to see what prime 1 has in store for the terminator license.

Did you buy the Delorean? The thoughts of spending a grand on that (after shipping and customs) made me sell Marty, much as I loved that figure. I just couldn't conceive of having Marty but not his car.
I forgot Prime 1 had the Terminator license. We'd be talking about statues though right?
No. I really wanted the delorean too, I just wouldn't have anywhere to put it. I might get a smaller version, maybe the floating delorean by kids logic or something along those lines. Marty is one of those rare characters where he looks better with either the car or Doc beside him, on a shelf alone it just doesn't have the same effect.
Yes it would most likely be 1/3 statues. I'm hoping for a chrome endoskeleton, you can never have to many of those.

Every now and then I add Marty back into my watch list on ebay. It was tough letting him go and to this day I'm not sure I made the right decision really because every time I watch those films or hear The Power of Love playing in the pub.....

I bought this locally in Turkey yet it arrived (in my opinion)used and broken, it was clear the shipping box had seen some shipping, yet I hoped the figure would be pristine, however, it's neck was broken, hands had wear and so on - the shop says it wasn't a returned figure, which is interesting
Overall it was a shocking experience, beforehand, I was really really really looking forward to a Robocop, yet, after this experience, I don't know, having second thoughts, they are going to send another figure, this time pristine
The figure felt bad, I don't know whether it's because of the above situation or whether it's just the way it is - the legs were clumsy, the feet were weak, but granted, I didn't spend much time with the headless figure, just re-packed it and sent it back. I also wonder whether the broken neck is a chronic issue, by neck, I mean the part where the ball of the head sits in
I guess I'm looking for some support, shall I just move on from Robocop or re-try with another one?
Edit: Got more information from the seller, it seems their distributor here sent it to them as unused while it was a display item, which explains things

what you got is a unique case of ****up. i have... well, more than one of these figures and never experienced anything like that.

Thought I'd share this 1987 Robocop full repaint I'm working on.
I've been repainting a lot of Robocop figures ever since the HT one came out but this is the first time I've worked on a full repaint.
Did my best to match the look from the movie
