for how long had your Robocop already been in that chair and what happens where his butt touches the seat?
i wonder if only my robocops were defective and sticking to anything i sit them on. or mine and another guy's, who spotted that effect first, making me check mine.

A few years now. There’s a small mark on the back of both legs where they stuck to the chair but as it will only ever be displayed in the chair I’m not going to let it bother me.

thanks. so it's the paint reacting with everything.
i was afraid that said spots would spread further if left on a chair.

Finally picked this guy up after cutting back on my Hot Toys collecting a couple years back. :) Really glad I did- I love him!

Quick question- Any issues with the rubber elbow coverings known as of yet? Should I treat them with something? Thanks in advance!

Sallh

Arg. I had no idea about the rubber. I better check mine.

Ah... So there has been evidence of it cracking over time? Ugh.

I bought some Honda silicone grease that folks recommend for the Ed-209. Has anybody treated Robo's elbows with it?

Sallah

I don‘t think so. Just when overstretching over a prolonged period.

Ok good to know... Thanks!

Any issues with the metal paint reacting with the stand? It doesn't seem like it will sit naturally on the stand without the metal cradle portion touching the silver. All the stories of the silver paint sticking to stuff has me worried to leave it like that.

yeah i know you asked about standing figures, and yes they can and do stand like that as well.

Finally decided to display my RoboChair- does anyone know if leaving him in the siting position would damage the body/rubber sleeves overtime?

i do know that the chair will heavily damage his metal paint over a very short time.
this is how i try to avoid that.

Nasty. I guess I could wrap the parts that touches the chair with a thin microfiber cloth then. Any issues with the elbow/knee rubber sleeves?

you could. but, as i write in my post, my BD Robocop got stuck to microfiber suede cloth used for glasses cleaning - exactly what you're going to do :lol so you can try and risk.
so i raised both my sitting robocops in a way they don't touch surfaces with both their metal-painted hips and back. just in case.
Any issues with the elbow/knee rubber sleeves?
afraid to check and see any, to be honest.

Yeah the chair thing is disappointing, it would be nice to sit him in it, but it will ruin the figure which is lame, I just stand mine in front:/
