So, there's a couple pieces left on Amazon for this bad boy. Just got a profit sharing check from work.

Should I take the plunge even with the rubber issues? Do you think it would be bad right out of the box since I didn't purchase this right when it was released?

I really want to have an ED-209 figure, but I don't want to pay $300 for what might be a damaged figure right out of the box.

I think I'm going to.

What supplies would you guys recommend I buy to make sure I can keep him in the best shape possible?

Honda silicone grease. I actually reposed my Ed209 last night and the dome looked perfect after a year and half.

Stop. Don't. Come back.

Too late, haha.

Just hoping it comes in mint condition. Will keep it stored in a room where there will be virtually no sunlight. Will be the appropriate supplies to hopefully keep it together.

I just don't want to wait another long period of time to get my hands on a piece that's as detailed as this. ED-209 is one of my all time favorite robots, so I'm gonna take the risk.

Live and learn, I suppose.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what other materials i should buy and apply to this piece, and how often?

I have had my ED-209 now for about 15 months and it's in perfect condition with zero signs of any rubber deterioration anywhere.
I use some Gummi Pflege Stift every 6 months on the dome and rub some inside all the rubber joints and under the head sections using my finger.
It resides inside a glass display cabinet with Alex Murphy & Battle Damaged Robocop while the Die Cast Robocop sits in his chair watching over the bad boys.
Looks awesome and zero problems so far. 20151213_143713_resized.jpg

Love your display!

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it.

Also, that display is rad! Do you have any galleries for your statues, Xeno?

Got my ED-209 and RoboCop delivered on Friday. Both of them look tremendous, especially the former. Going to buy the supplies in the middle of the week to hopefully keep ED up to snuff.

Side note: am I the only one finding it a pain in the *** getting Robo to hold his gun?

Nice stuff! I've had my ED since release, and have had zero issues with it too. But damn, it sure collects dust particles fast.

It takes a while to get the hang of it but eventually you'll get something you're happy with. It's all about positioning the thumb.

Sorry lads, I know this has been answered here some where but it is over 240 pages.

Had my ED 209 since first release. Dome is fine but rubber on leg joint is looking like it's cracking.
What do I need to buy to help reserve the dome and sort out the rubber on the legs.

Thanks. :)
