I was going back and forth on this one vs. the other IM 3 Tony Stark figure. This one just seems better. I am only getting this, the Mark 42, and Silver Centurion. I will get a Pepper when it is available.

I'm getting this one simply because it is less expensive, and will take less room in my Detolf.

The armor testing one looks better in the new in hand shots and the video review that was done. I think that one seems better for a completest though and would look cooler if it was displayed with the Hall of Armor and the different suits. The Mechanic version to me is better for a person who only wants a couple of Iron Man figures. Plus I still really like the more homemade look of this version and mismatched armor pieces and whatnot. Plus I'm sort of a sucker for more battle damaged looks so Tony's face being bloodied on this version is cool to me.

The only thing I wish came with this figure that doesn't is a flight stand to be able to do action poses such as the one seen where he's in flight with the forearm and leg pieces. Might try and see if I can find a stand like that to pull that pose off.

I think I could still manage an aerial pose the stand it comes with, I was able to do some with Mk7 and War Machine, just gotta find the right balance, but yeah, a flight stand would've made things easier.

Anyone think HT will fix the eyes from looking to the left (his right) since it doesn't come out til April?

What makes you think they need fixing?

It was obviously a conscious decision with the placement of the eyes and given it's one of the few (if not only) occasions HT have done such with a sculpt I cant see them changing it and personally I hope they don't

i'm pretty sure you can unzip the zipper.

Orrrrrrdered without a thought. One of the best figures I've seen around! I was gonna sell my armor test Tony for this... but meh I love them both.

Meh, to be fair the Mark XLII Test Suit version already came with a lot of accessories. If they added the second headsculpt, set of clothing, homemade weapons, and battle damaged Mark XLII parts to it that set would have been even more expensive (it was already like $280) and some people (myself included) probably wouldn't have wanted to pay that much for it. I'm happy they released it this way as I like the figure and think the price is alright.
