Yeah man, went the eBay route. $235 shipped for the EX from China and it only took 4 days to get to NY.

Congrats to whoever just got my cancelled EX:D

$235 shipped for the exclusive? amazing deal! I don't see anything lower than $275 shipped in the recent sales.

Yeah, it was $241 and the seller had other ones for $275, which I thought was weird. I always msg sellers with BIN's with with "outside offers" and the seller was willing to do $235 shipped. I can't believe that was already two weeks ago and the docks are still in limbo:slap

Do you do it outside of ebay? I'll do that if I buy something expensive

Yeah, most of the stuff I buy on eBay, the sellers are usually able to work with offering it for cheaper if you mention just paying them straight to their paypal without getting eBay involved. The hardest part is finding a way to code your e-mail address when sending msgs's via eBay because it blocks that.

I haven't even thought of this! seems like the buyer & seller win in this case :p

Good for the buyer. Good for the seller until the seller gets caught. Then it's bad for the seller. I believe eBay will suspend their account.

Yea it works out really well. You can actually attach images to messages now so you can screenshot your PayPal id/email and they can send you the invoice.

You have to trust the seller to send it after they get paid, cause there is no recourse if you don't get it. Usually only do this with sellers I have successfully bought from already.

Yes, good for the buyer until the seller decides not to ship. Then the buyer has no recourse.

Of course there's nothing definite but most of these HK sellers who sell newly released figures are honest guys just running their businesses. I'm not saying it'll always be perfect but my last handful of figures I bought directly from them, and via private msg, have all been successful transactions.

I'm not gonna worry about scams or variables until I have a reason to.

The sellers won't do anything to screw things up...most of them have thousands of feedback...they do this a lot and they make a lot of money doing it...they aren't going to rock the boat...

...but they will cause strikes on the American cargo docks so they can charge more because we just can't wait...just saying...
