Star-Lord, man....

^:lol

I'm in a predicament as well...I really loved the film. I want the EX Star-Lord but never went on the waitlist because I'm an idiot. I won a Rocket in a Spook contest but I feel like if I were to get the line, I would rather have the Groot & Rocket EX. Then there's the space issues I'm dealing with, and that new Star Wars line.... If I could, I would sell my whole Iron Man shelf for this, but I feel I will have trouble selling the Mechanic, IP, 42, and my custom, WM and 7 seem like the easiest candidates to unload.
If only I could go back in time and not buy any IM figures. :slap

Got the EX on PO but still 50/50 about this coz I really just want to collect the Avengers. So far it looks good but I'll make the decision once the in-hand pics or video comes out.

Isn't Ravager just the name of his long coat? At the beginning of the movie when Star-Lord says he's just a junker Korath asks him "then why are you dressed like a ravager?"

Ravager is what Yoondus group is called, I think the red is a uniform thing associated with Ravagers so technically all his jackets are Ravager jackets

Yeah I know Ravagers are Yondu's group but since most of Yondu's people had long coats I assumed that Star-Lord's long coat was specifically linked to them. I figured his short jacket was just his own personal "outlaw attire" or whatever. I never really gave thought to where their matching uniforms at the end came from. They seemed too nice to be standard issue Ravager gear plus I can't imagine that Ravagers would have outfits sitting around in Gamora and Rocket's size. I assume they would have placed a custom order from some merchant somewhere off screen to pick them up.

I'm new so not getting how pic means it's coming. Is this overseas releasing then we still wait a month? No way we get this til January right?

Yeah. Plastic Enemies usually posts teasers of what figures are coming out next, then we get a wave of photo reviews by Jingobell, OMG, etc. Asia gets their's first, we're about a month or so after them.

I'd be interested in buying it from you, but aftermarket prices tend to scare me away :lol

What dw said. We'll get blogger pics of the figure tonight/early in the morning, it'll go on sale in HK tomorrow, followed by eBay listings. We can expect the earliest YouTube reviews in a week or two.

If you live in North America and order through SSC, I wouldn't expect Star-Lord until late January, at the earliest.

My personal interpretation is that the ravagers started out as army deserters and the long coats were once their uniform (when closed they remind me a lot of trench coats you see soldiers wearing in WWI/WWII). I assumed the uniforms just came in a lot of sizes and both genders and they had a stash somewhere in their ship or handed down uniforms from dead ravagers.
