Just give Drax rubber arms and be done with it. At least it solves the ugly joint issue. Would only pose him straight armed anyway.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS255 – Guardians of the Galaxy: 1/6th scale Star-Lord Collectibl...

Sounds like ********. The Rock is still under contract amd was when Hot Toys put out Roadblock. I think they are having body issues.

There's a difference between the rock and dave B. The rock had/has a unique agreement with WWE due to the many other projects. He's been more of a tv/movie actor then wrestler for nearly a decade. So when he goes back he has a unique deal. He allows his WWE persona to be used for likeness for them but still retains his own likeness rights elsewhere.

But Dave has a bit different deal, and has WWE entertainment as his management company. So his likeness rights would not be the same.

I have not asked or heard any specifics about the likeness rights being an issue, nor have I asked about it. But, it very well could be an issue holding things up.

To just flat out say it's crap without any understanding about how the industry works internally or first hand knowledge is silly.

It may be the body. It may be resource allocation. It could be a thousand things.

I can tell you Draxs movie look would present pretty large issues for a factory. He is not covered in tats or ink. And there are unique patterns. So adding his tribal scar stuff, and making sure it lasts more then ten minutes, would be very hard. And the more joints the more potential for wear on whatever material they use. A prototype is one thing..hand done for a look not for mass production or longevity.

I understand how wrestling contracts work. I'm probably one of the biggest wrestling fans here. The Rock and Batista are both under "Legends Contracts" which grants them apperances based off their movie schedules/ press schedules. The have the exact same contract. They also have that contract through both Mattel and 2k video games. As far as the dirt sheets go, neither man is scheduled to be back anytime soon, so q1&2 is out for 2015.

With a Legends Contract, both men had obligations of apperances based on a number mutually agreed upon, but, they are still treated as free agents, because they can freely seek outside work as long as it isn't wrestling/ competitor.

So, I will stand by what I said, that its a body issue.

They are not going for the chubby pratt look, yeesh. His coat is just making it look bulky in that pic. Does anyone think they would really make him fat?

Is there anything besides him looking a bit girthy in the promo pics that make people think they are going for a fat look? I honestly thought it looked like that because of the jacket. Still wish it would come with a short jacket.

It's all the jacket, the promo pics all have the jacket open which is how I'm going to display him 100% of the time

looks fit to me

but I will never trust these pics again(Stealth Cap)

I never actually thought HT made him FAT fat. The figure may or may not have a Captain America-style fat suit, not a DX08 fat suit. :lol

It's the jacket. It's either not the right fit or whoever is closing it doesn't know what the hell they're doing.

Whoops I started this fear.

That's cool, now that we're in the doom and gloom phase of waiting for the figure, it's given me a chance to ask a question I've been wanting to ask a long time now.

What quality control issues do you guys think this guy will have?

My money is on defective lights in the helmet.

Clothing for me.... I think the jacket and or rest of the outfit will not be as good as it looks

Whoah, check out Drax here! Dunno if it's just me but I feel like the body and head sculpt have been updated? This is apparently from Comic Con Experience? Just according to Facebook.

We need a new Star-Lord. He never once hung out with the team while wearing the long coat.
