I think sometimes the marvel saltiness can be expected, you go look at the HT facebook page and it's almost entirely Stark Porn (at the time of writing). Nothing against Iron Man or those that collect it, just wish other licenses would be given fair treatment rather than being pushed aside for yet another revision of the same old figures.

I'll be glad when this releases, along with BD Robo/Murphy. But with the new Avengers around the corner, delays for everything but that are coming for sure.

I also agree getting a bit fed up with constant avengers releases, especially the Iron Men. I know alot of these are vaialble in customs, but hot toys needs to tap into more cult/80s/90s classics figures

Ghostbusters is on top of my list. I just started converting my crappy 12" Matty figures into better bashes.

Once I'm done with that and after spending all this money on them, I anticipate a company announcing that they will be making 1/6 figures.

I truely believe that hot toys doesnt consider fans of other countries besisdes Asia. Because avengers is so big there that they can profit big there. Most hot toys fans want other figures and the worst thing is that most of them were announced last year like Batman Returns and Alien.

They shouldn't distribute internationally then. It should go back to before where you had to find a special dealer to get those imports.

Honestly though, if all Asian collectors are interested in are robot and Iron Man variations, I can't say I blame Hot Toys' current business model. I was shocked to learn that their Star Wars items are being poorly received over there. I thought Star Wars was universally loved? If that ain't getting their interest, I don't see how people can expect 80s and 90s classics to ever be a success.

It makes me wonder why they even bothered with Back to the Future, Batman Returns, Alien/s, Commando, 60s Batman, Star Wars, etc. when they've clearly been busy with the entire Avengers AOU team, 5-6 Iron Man variations, 3 Ultrons, those little stylized baby figures and 1:1 displays that won't even be available for purchase. Clearly all of that has been years in the making? I mean think about it, that kind of line up alone would have been a years worth of releases a couple of years ago. 20 MMS slots for a single license in the span of a couple of months is almost unheard of. They're approaching MMS 300 with a quickness.

I hve iron man burn out which is good on my wallet. I am passing on the new avengers movie figures as well. Other companies are starting to get my money. I don't deny that hot toys have great figures to keep me interested: BTTF, Robo Cop, GOTG, and Star Wars.

The fact is other than Iron Man and Avengers Hot Toys will never complete a full line up of popular characters.

I really want Doc and think we'll get him, but even if we weren't I'm still happy getting Marty and the DeLorean.

By doing that, you risk Doc coming out at a later date. Then you go back to purchase Marty, and in you're waiting, you discover that he's going for major $$$. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. What if your one order is the one Hot Toys needs to convince them to do a Doc? By holding off, you might make Marty harder and more costly to obtain.

Keep Marty and if Doc doesn't come out in the next couple of years, get rid of him. At worst you'll have bought a nice, single $200 figure from Back to the Future. That's worth experiencing before selling it off I would think.

It is sort of silly how mad people get. The Marvel brand (and probably Iron Man alone) probably generates a good source of income for Hot Toys so we get more obscure figures. I think some stuff just falls on a lower priority which does suck but I get it at the same time.

This argument is made time and time again and yet, how did HT fund anything prior to 2008 or whenever it was that they acquired the rights to make Marvel figures. People seem to forget that there was a few years when there were NO Marvel figures and we were all wondering why the **** not.

Hot Toys started out on 80s classics (and not so classic Alien Versus Predator) and DC with Superman and Batman. Now even the latter has been shunted way down their list of priorities. I never thought I'd see that happening.

From a business point of view, Marvel sells, and HT have the goose that lays the golden egg.
*All* they need to make are Marvel items, especially IM, and they will see major returns.
As hard as it is for people who don't like IM to believe, HT is only in this to make cash, and you'll probably find that the "Every tenth figure that ISN'T Marvel related" will be paid for by the massive profits made on Marvel stuff. It will also be able to fail and not be a major issue, *because* of the Marvel stuff.
So, as big of a pain as it may be to see niche items held back a bit, it needs to be realised that they can only happen if the marvel stuff sells out fast.
Which they always seem to, except for the occasional turkey.

It's a wonder Hot Toys survived long enough to even get to make Marvel figures at all. I mean all those early MMS figures from ''obscure'' movies like Terminator, Predator, Alien and Robocop, Batman Begins etc they all must have tanked so badly.
