Frankly, no. I think in 2-3 years we'll be remembering Hot Toys' huge fail in not completing this license with just the one - one - figure it would have take to do so. I base this prediction on HT Watchmen, HT Platoon, HT Avatar, HT Prometheus, HT X-men First Class, HT Batman Returns, HT 1:4 scale Police Shootout T-800 and Diecast 1:6 Endoskeleton, and probably more. They have demonstrated that they will happily make announcements that amount to absolutely zero. Nothing is guaranteed except whatever character in Iron Man or Avengers.

Will probably come down to how well Marty sells. I think he will pretty much bomb in the Asian markets but sell lots in the US & Europe. Doc is a must though. :exactly:

Marty but no Doc!

This is clearly the case. I merely object to the idea that fans of.....literally anything else should be thanking Iron Man that their preferences ever get addressed at all, because otherwise how do you explain all those figures that came before the first Iron Man. What funded those figures? Why did Hot Toys make them? Sorry but Iron Man as a really popular entity has only been around since 2008. Fact. I'm sure their sales help now but HT couldn't always rely on that. What did it rely on before? Oh yeah, Predators, Terminators, Aliens, Pirates of the Caribbean, Robocop. It's right there in the MMS list. You're welcome Iron Man :huh

Excellent points, dev. :duff It's very insulting to imply, whether intentional or not, that anyone should have to feel grateful to HT for making 56,341 Marvel figures to fund the occasional non-Marvel release.

Brilliant! :clap Which one of you is Han? :monkey3

Anyone think/hope a Doc Brown reveal is coming soon?

Not unless he's in AoU. :lol

I'm still sticking to my line of thinking that we'll get Doc based on how fast the DeLorean was announced. I really think if Marty was the only figure in the works it wouldn't have come as fast.

I'm actually very surprised that there was no Aldrich Killian. They go out of their way to make pretty much every single armor from the House Party protocol, yet they make the guy who pretended to be the guy who they're supposed to be fighting, who, coincidentally, wasn't even in the same scene as all of those tin cans.:lol

Yeah, Hot Toys have never cancelled something that has gone up for preorder. It's unprecedented.

The Delorean will come.

I have a strong feeling that we'll also get a 2015 Marty and possibly others. HT already has produced the short bodies and paid some coin for MJF's likeness, so they'll want to capitalize.

I was Han just then, but I'm sure we could alternate.

Tell that to Pepper Potts. . .tell that to Pepper Potts, damn you. . .

Those are surprising omissions actually. I mean why the hell not considering how far they've gone with everything else in those films.

Yeah but by the same rationale you'd think they'd have made more Nicholson Jokers than they did or a Reeve Clark Kent. Alas no.

They made two Nicholson Jokers and two Reeve Superman figures though. I think if the Mime Joker would have been more of a hit we might have seen more Joker figures. As for Reeve there aren't that many Superman variants other than the evil version and I think a Clark Kent figure on its own may be a tough sell.

Not that I necessarily think we'll get variants of Marty but who knows. They sounded pretty enthusiastic about the line when it was first announced but there's saying and doing obviously so I guess we'll just have to see.
