You will be surprised! So called average collectors have been buying gazillion iron mans even from half baked and ridiculous iron man movies! Last time around they tested waters with "avengers line" and a Hawkeye post initial sell out was being traded for 700- 1k aftermarket

The point I am making is that - ridiculous as it may sound - 5k is not a big deal to many of these guys and even if not 100 pct- many will buy multiple figures and that's all they need!

In order to buy the whole Avengers AOU lineup you need about $5000 cause most of those figures are 350 and up and just about every month they add a new 1 to the lineup. Hopefully when they truly realize that the average collector just can't afford those astronautical prices, they will all be drastically reduced. Then we can beat them at their own game.

Sadly, like so many things these days I have to cancel my EX. Luckily there was no nrd to lose on this one. Can't wait to see in hand pics from everyone!

I thought there wasnt a nrd on this but i was charged one when my waitlist went through - my buddy thought the same thing and then was charged when his waitlist came through

It wasn't on the waitlist when i joined but then i got charged and my buddy said the same thing - they charged 22.50
I checked my order and it doesn't show that i paid a nrd - but i have an email and the charge

I would verify that you didn't get charged, i didnt realize it happened for a while after the charge went through.

All my orders that have a nrd show that i paid it except back to the future

When did you join the waitlist? I got on pretty early (I think the same day it went to waitlist), and I never paid a deposit when it converted. The regular edition of the figure also shows a NRD now, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't there at the beginning.

I found the email - i joined the waitlist on 8/15/14

It was shady the way they charged this

And I'm guessing it converted to an order a month or two after? That must have been around when the NRD hit the regular version of the figure.

Sideshow has been sneaking in NRDs for most figures these days after the item page first goes up- the same thing happened with AoU Cap and Temple of Doom Indy (and that's just what I've seen).

Also Kenobi, Hawkeye and Black Widow

Guvyer1, all because it's being delayed... don't be silly. You have already waited 30 years for a Marty McFly Back to the Future 1/6th scale figure. What's another month or two?

Btw When is this coming out. Anyone receive anything new?

I wish it was that easy. It's coming out for me this week the problem is because of the dock strike delays I got bombarded with orders and now my funds are almost depleted :thud:

As far as I know mine is still coming this week or Monday. Who said it got delayed again.

I'm still thinking, I haven't made up my mind yet.

Yeah, I've learned not to complain a ton about shipping in the US because of how much overseas collectors have to pay. But does anyone know how SSC decides what will be a flat $10 shipping fee in the US and what will be shipped according to weight? My marty is $18 shipping, but my last two figures were a flat $10 each. Just curious.

Shipping is more expensive... and iit's only going to get even more so according to my UPS and FedEx reps...( I deal with a lot of shipping at work)... so get ready go even higher shipping charges as the year goes on...

How about that McFly, eh?

:lecture:goodpost:This. Thanks for the heads up. :(

I cancelled. Not paying that shipping. I'm so annoyed with it. Not sure why. Hope someone here gets the exclusive conversion!

Thats what im wondering, because doesnt that fall under false advertising, is that not considered some form of bait & switch or very bad business etiquette? If I were to purchase this now and it says $10 flat rate shipping I would assume there liable for what they advertise, it doesnt say estimated. But what can one do.:(
