Yeah, I'm not sure I caught those posts. . .it was a foregone conclusion once we knew the Avengers film had Thor in it, and HT generally makes better figures the 2nd time around. Having said that, my advice in the past has been to buy something when you are on the fence, just in case, and so you can enjoy a figure until the improved version gets released (at which point you can sell your older figure and use the funds to pay for the new one most of the time)

But if you really want the best high end Thor figure ever, and can wait a year and a half between releases or whatever, then why stop here? I'm sure the Thor 2 version will be even better. And the Avengers 2 version will be even better than that.

The problem with me is more the cash really. I knew the next version would be something I would probably like better so I gambled on it. I know what you mean though, I've missed out on the Dark Knight figures but I will be okay without ever having a Batman figure too lol.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Batman Dark Knight version 3.0 will be released for the new film, and Ledger Joker DX V 2.0 is coming, as well. And no doubt, they'll be improvements over the previous figures.

Thats true, I did like the DK sonar eyes though, feel like I missed out on that at any rate. Im sure the new one will have good accessories too

I wonder what he would have for accessories if there is no helmet in the film? Hopefully just the option of removing sleeves? Probably not though. anyhow I like the sleeved look here

Good point, other than the hammer I cant think what else from the film he'd be missing other than making him so you can display him sleeveless but personally I dont see that being an option

Neither Fury or Hawkeye are teeming with accessories but even both of those would have more than Thor from what I can figure out

Too bad they couldn't do what I believe Hasbro did with some of the legend series, you would get a piece with each figure, so when you had them all you could build another one, would have been cool to see one of the aliens or some display but I know thats not really how HT works lol

Wow, that thing is beautiful looking. By far the best looking avenger figure yet! Im not even a big fan of Thor and im really looking forward to getting it.
