Those of you who have the v.1 Thor, can you remove the sleeves from his suit without damaging it?

Does anyone think the sleeves of this one will be removable for the option of displaying him sleeveless?

Here it looks like the sleeves are separate from the chest armor

So if they do the same thing with this version, then it would be easy enough to just remove the sleeves portion from the costume to get that sleeveless look.

Now, heres to just hoping its a full muscle body under that suit...which from the pic....it may be...

Well I said if Thor was a homerun I'd probably get all the "big four" Avengers and that certainly looks like its going to be the case.

Damn, the new Thor looks absolutely phenomenal.

The colours pop really well together too; the red against the metallics. Can't wait for the reveal.

Really blown away by the improvement on the arms and (from what I can see) hair sculpt. My anticipation for the official specs/pics definitely just shot up a few notches!

The sleeves are just part of a shirt, and yes you can remove it rather easily without causing any damage.

All i see is a computer render that could be from Marvels own development for the film with HT possibly using it as a guide for the anatomy.

And there's absolutely no need for another Avengers thread, the board is swamped with them as it is.

Damn it, I was going to try and avoid Avengers versions of the characters I already own, but it looks like that idea is going down the toilet.

Funny how people make fun of others when they say they will wait for a better version to come out...yeah I guess this is why. Even though its a small picture it looks 10x better than the first version. So glad I waited and happy to see Thor get some good HT treatment.

I don't recall anyone making fun of anyone

It's really nothing to do with one-upsmanship, anyone who bought that V1 Thor new that inevitably there would be an Avengers version that was no doubt going to have improvements as tends to be the case

But they bought it anyway because they liked it, it represented a character from a specific movie. Some folk openly admit that they sell their figures on to get the new ones and others keep them

I for one do not regret getting V1 Thor, my only beef is that we won't get V1 Loki to go with Thor and Odin

So let's all play nice eh? It's supposed to be fun having a hobby

Nobody ISNT playing nice at all, you're reading too much into what I wrote, nor am I looking to have 'one up' on anyone. There have been comments made, in good fun Im sure about people talking about waiting for something better, insulting really only to fanboy who thinks everything is perfect. I don't really care to make it into something other than fun teasing, I was just making a comment like everyone else about how happy I am I waiting for this version...

Yeah, I'm not sure I caught those posts. . .it was a foregone conclusion once we knew the Avengers film had Thor in it, and HT generally makes better figures the 2nd time around. Having said that, my advice in the past has been to buy something when you are on the fence, just in case, and so you can enjoy a figure until the improved version gets released (at which point you can sell your older figure and use the funds to pay for the new one most of the time)

But if you really want the best high end Thor figure ever, and can wait a year and a half between releases or whatever, then why stop here? I'm sure the Thor 2 version will be even better. And the Avengers 2 version will be even better than that.
