Hot Toys 1/6 Black Panther Erik Killmonger

I'm holding on to hope that a tactical suit killmonger is revealed. Only reason why I haven't pre-ordered this yet.

I really hope they do a tactical suit Killmonger. I think that was his best look. This figure looks good but it's too much like Black Panther. It'd bug me seeing them on the shelf together.

Well... I'm not blown away the same way when I look at stellar head sculpts like the CW Tony Stark, Tom Holland, or Chadwick Boseman. When I look at them in-person/or in photos I feel as though I'm looking at the person themselves...with the IW Cap, Wick, and Wasp that same amazement just isn't there.

Could not disagree with you more. The John Wick may be iffy, but none of those three are sub-par.

HT has set the bar really high, perhaps to a fault, but at this point in the game every head sculpt they put it should be 100% spot-on, anything else is just a letdown.

Wick is certainly a better likeness than Cap. Wasp is a tough one. I really need to see final production photos.

But notice how you're not completely blown away by any of the 3...I'm not either, which, to me, translates to subpar-ness.

If it’s not approved for public they can’t due to licensing. They don’t always do it, it depends on if the sculpt is approved for promotion or not.

Or it could just not be finished or done at all and they are just bluring an actual photo of the actor or some other sculpt.

Wow, from Q3 release to Q1? Hot toys is insane.
Wasn't too interested in killmonger but after watching Creed 2, I need a Michael B Jordan figure. I love killmonger more than black panther to be honest. So I might finally PO this, if the hs is amazing like chadwick or shuri.
But man hopefully HotToys doesn't release this that soon...i need a bit of breathing from the recent IW releases... LoL

Gosh we really are entering silly season. I might have to put this guy in a holding pattern as I just have too much piling up (not helped by the fact that I too have succumbed to the sheer awesomeness that is Tactical Batman - £300 I hadn't budgeted for there. Lol).

I'm waiting for those final HS picks to determine if I order this. In all honesty T'Chaka is the only figure from the BP line I would keep the BP mask on with even if that one had a T'Chaka HS. The others I want there actually faces. Hopefully those come soon so I can see the Killmonger sculpt and make the decision.

I agree. Since we aren't getting a Tactical Suit Killmonger, I will only be displaying this figure with the Michael B. Jordan head sculpt.

Hopefully the Chadwick HS will be able to fit on BP version 1.0.

I agree. Since we aren't getting a Tactical Suit Killmonger, I will only be displaying this figure with the Michael B. Jordan head sculpt.

I'd put money on a third party making a tactical outfit once the figure comes out and everyone has the spare sculpt.

10 months in, its kinda ridiculous we still don't have pictures of the HS.

Yes T'Chaka and the first BP... I didn't like the new BP and Killmonger mask that much... I am only interested in this for Michael B Jordan HS and will def be displaying with the hs only... And yes please show the HS so I can decide whether to PO or not lol.
