interesting, deluxe parts looks amazing on the Sideshow's Fett

And I don't need to buy two ESB Fetts, deluxe and regular.
All I need to buy is the deluxe set and use the extra parts on my Sideshow Fett
and saved about $250, which is awesome
thx for sharing

Made a few more tweaks to this guy....gave the gloves a shot of dull coat...and added some padding inside the neck seal as it looked a little thin..

Looks great, matrix. What dull coat did you use? I'm always concerned with using sprays that the part will turn sticky over time if the plastic is slightly rubbery/bendy like those hands are.

Just as long as you use a lacquer spray, it won't matter what kind of plastic. Just stay away from enamels. Lacquers and acrylics won't give you problems. I use testors and model masters matte or dull coat just because theyre readily available at Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

Got this figure today and I have to say it’s magnificent. A significant improvement on the ROTJ version, which I will probably now sell. Helmet looks amazing and it definitely ticks the “man in a suit” box.
If you only want one Boba in your collection then this is it. It’s now my favorite HT figure, displacing the ANH Stormtrooper.

So the prepro comes with an alternate left shoulder armor that has the original mythosaur skull logo?

Just curious with why you think it's a significant improvement over the ROTJ version. Is it mainly because there's less padding underneath the outfit? I just feel like the Jedi one is better (more accurate) all around; other than preferring the ESB helmet and rifle.

I like that the gauntlets, outfit colour, cape size, Mythosaur skull design & right hip pouch are more accurate on the Jedi version. I wish HT didn't simply paint on the red square button & switches (in the form of red & white dots) with the ESB one. For such a popular character and highy anticipated figure, it really deserved a re-tooled right gauntlet. Having it come with two of the left hip pouches wouldn't have been hard to do; or making the Mythosaur design correct.

I'm definitely interested in your views on the details with the new one vs the old..as I definitely want to love this figure more than I do lol.

Yeah, it's definitely not the 'ultimate' Fett. Plus, I just remembered how the rifle sling isn't adjustable, but for some odd reason HT made it that way. One of the few things that SS got more accurate. I mean, if you seriously care about movie accuracy, then the ROTJ one is the way to go. But if that's not a huge deal, then it just really comes down to which coulor pallete you like more.
And you can always pick up a loose ESB helmet to pop on the other if that's your preference.

I'll be displaying them in all three looks by Hot Toys (so minus the animated one). But if I could only have one, I'd go the ROTJ promotional image/special edition look.

I'm betting I'll get the full excitement experience out of this figure when the deluxe edition arrives. I'm sure I'll be eatting my words and declare it to be the ultimate Fett!

I use Humbrol acrylic varnish...but other brands should work just as well.
One tip for those who have never used varnish before is to make sure that you give the can one hell of a good shakeup...at least 5 to 10 mins..before you apply it...if not you may get a white-frosting effect.

There are lots of inaccuracies on both...the under scaled jetpack and over scaled right gauntlet are the same reused molds on both and are my biggest grip along with the shape of the helmet. Both helmets have pluses and minuses...but equally off...

I'm really debating getting this now and keeping my SS V2. With the deluxe I could use all the parts (pre pro on the Sideshow).

Scored a SSC jetpack for my Empire version too.

Wow, that first pic definitely looks like 3 guys in Fett suits. Well done, D.R.37!

The three look great together, though ESB wins IMO. Great pose on him too.

Thanks, yeah i was always leaning towards the more colorful Jedi version but this ESB release has won me over.
Selling my ROTJ Fett.

Definitely holding onto him. He's what got me into this crazy 1/6 collecting. Been one of my favorites since day one but the proportions on the recent release are much better.
