That's my thinking as well, although HT may just go all-in and ride the Endgame popularity wave for all it's worth. What would they have to change on the CM suit - the shoulders? Couple that with a rooted version of the existing head sculpt and they're done. Pretty cheap from a development cost standpoint. I'm not ruling it out just yet.

Rooted version. I hope they don't take that backward step but if they do then this Captain Marvel will skyrocket in price.

Yeah I think the rooted hair might very well cancel out whatever improvement they make to the sculpt.

I somehow doubt HT will make improvements to the sculpt...I've got a feeling they're gonna take the lazy route and just re-use the inaccurate CM head sculpt and slap rooted hair on it.

Although who knows...they did make a brand new DS 2.0 head sculpt even though they nailed it with the first one...

Interesting. Just read on EW that Brie actually filmed all her Endgame scenes before the script for her solo movie had even been finished.

Be curious to see if she plays the character any differently...

If the BvS and JL Wonder Woman sculpts are anything to go by, rooted hair would indeed be a regression.

True, but given how straight Brie's hair looks in the few scenes we've seen, it wouldn't be as unruly as the hair on the WW figures. I'd expect them to use plenty of product to keep it from flying about, sort of a cross between WS Black Widow and Selina Kyle.

Who knows, maybe HT will ignore the loss in articulation and still give us sculpted hair, figuring we'll put on the helmeted head for action poses. Speaking of which, I could see Marvel putting some gold in her helmet design to further differentiate her Endgame look.

Prob use the same sculpt but add makeup to match her endgame look

I want to see her with her helmet/mask on and brown hair at the top. They keep showing her with the headsculpt. That is great and all, but I never use any of the sculpts on my figures. I'm weird like that. All the characters I get have to have some type of helmet/mask or I"m not interested. The only one that is going to probably make me brake that rule is Nebula. But she's very mechanical/alien looking so that doesn't really count =)

I’m pretty much the same when displaying my figures but I definitely dig the GotG2 Star-Lord with the “materializing” helmet?

Great I'm not alone. Starlord is a cool figure, however I prefer him with the helmet on.

Here's a case shot

I don't think they nailed the first at all. It was more of a caricature than anything. This one is definitely worse than DS1. They will do a new sculpt whenever the next CM figure comes out.

The main issue is the hair management and styling of it.

It probably depends on the figure too and the type of hair that Hot Toys used. I'm happy with the hair of my Scarlet Witch (New Avengers Version) or maybe I just got lucky. The advantage of rooted hair is realism and it allows better head articulation.

I don't have a strong preference for sculpted or rooted hair. Both have pros and cons for me. As long as they're done well on the figure I'm satisfied.
