This is what I was worried about way back when the Emperor went up for preorder in February. I thought it was a reason for the price hikes but I was off on the timing. Now I wonder if this is why they are pumping so many figures out ahead of schedule? Maybe worried about consequences in a year or so? All tin foil theories and maybe outlandish but it’s what I thought of when the extremely early releases started happening

True, paint is fantastic. And unlike my original Mark VI, the BD Mark VII never developed "pink panties".

I am never selling mine. Best battled damaged IM figure HT will ever make, the paint is perfect. They seem to have really cut back on BD the last few years.

But I'm still getting this one

They have improved their paintwork by miles though -- the VI paint looks as good as a new car.

True if they redid the BD version im sure it would look a lot better but until then i lstill love the dull dirty beat to crap look of the old one.

And it has a much cooler stand than this one.

Yeah when you look at how good this figure is despite the dumb pod feature, you can't help but dwell on how bad the stand is. Like they need to ditch that crap stand pronto.

Considering the figure is out months after the next Avengers movie, and we still don't know what Tony really will be doing during the movie.. (constant rumours and photos showing set shots from New York), I wonder what you do if you want an Iron Man figure from the next movie..

Dunno, he fared ok against my dog almost 4 years ago... :lecture

^ It is bulkier in the chest area especially. So yes they did that right.

That’s what I love about the VII. It looks like an actual suit with a man in, for the most part. I’ve been after one since 2014 so this was a no brained for me. Glad I waited.

I hope they take the bullets off the base for the final product. Re-using a base for a 500th release is bad enough, but to completely untouch it is downright lazy.

And let's face it, larger diorama type bases seem to be the 'go to' for Iron Man diecast figs these days..

I’ve bought (when was launched) the Plastic IM VII for 250, now is almost 200 more. I know it’s diecast but... :(
