Yeah I agree, not sure what all the hype is about. His Knees look super skinny, totally throws the imagination of someone in the suit. Not just that, but the gimmicks on this figure are darn right stupid.

Shiny knees aside, the gimmicks are right out of the movie.

I think its the hips throwing it off, for some reason the protos always have these wide hips and the photos always have the hip flaps flared out, im sure itll be fine on release

I'm also thinking the torso is a bit on the fat side, I dunno. Comparing pics of the VI next to pics of this one I'm starting to wonder if that would have been the better choice afterall as a one-and-done Iron Man.

I think design wise it has a lot to do with the fact that it a prehensile suit that wraps around him like in the film, so it is bulky by nature. Makes sense and adds more believe that a person in inside it.

Ah, fair enough. Damn though, I think I prefer the slimmer look even though bulkier is seemingly more accurate for this one and also a bit more plausible.

I love the mk7, it's probably my favorite armor but the price is just too much so I guess the mk6 will be my only Iron Man figure. :(

Well holy hell.. Doing my sums here it's $655NZ without even adding shipping and Customs Tax buying from Sideshow. By comparison I bought the VI diecast from Sideshow and paid $540NZ, and then Customs cost me $140. That's over $100 difference without even considering Customs. Estimate customs at $150. We're not quite getting to the price I paid for the quarter scale Mark 43 from Popcultcha, but we are getting to the cost of the quarter scale statues/dioramas I have bought.

I've got the Mark 50 coming and that's costing me $699 down from an initial listed price of $799 with no extra costs for shipping, and no Customs costs because it's bought within NZ... Mighty Ape and Mohock I can't see will be able to list the VII for less than $799. Given the $25US price hike from Sideshow between the 50 and VII, it could even be $850NZ to buy within New Zealand..

:thud:

But, gotta say I love the suit, I'm just not sure on the back of the VI and 50 prices and having them represent Avengers 1 and Avengers 3, that I can justify the purchase.. I will have to seriously cease the hobby after my Thor and Loki purchasing to try and budget him into late 2019.

I upgraded my Mark VI to die cast, but I don't think I need to upgrade my old BD Mark VII. Still one of my favorite figures.

I am never selling mine. Best battled damaged IM figure HT will ever make, the paint is perfect. They seem to have really cut back on BD the last few years.

But I'm still getting this one
