I was quite young when The Avengers came out and I distinctly remember loving the MK7 because it was the return of the circle arc-reactor (was never a fan of the triangle).

Same! Circle>Dorito all day long. Never liked the triangle myself. It's why I definitely like the 4 over the 6 as well.

Yeah, I have a very small Iron Man collection and this one didn't make the 'logic' cut for me personally... but my 'emo' side wants it badly.

I love Iron Men with lots of weapons and this is a dreadnought. Going to be tough to fight this urge.

I also ruled it out and went with the Mark IV. Yet I've wondered ever since if I made the right decision because the Mark VII had a more important role in a much better film.

The other factor to consider is these ****ers go way up in price once they sell through initially.

Timcent would tend to be my go-to man for Hot Toys figures - for the peace of mind of definitely getting my figure and most probably not having to pay customs together with more favourable exchange rates and shipping being included. Buuuuuut he's currently asking $878 right out the gate. So unless that goes down by at least 250 I think I'll stick to my Mark IV.

i am trying to stick to only one version of each character and i have the diecast mk 6 which i love but the 7 has always been in my top 3.

Yeah these last few months are rough before EG payments start up. I just paid Bucky off in full today, have Killmonger, Stan Lee, Gamora (half paid off) and the Mk 7 with $65 left before the end of the year with Armored Thanos starting next month *♂️

This hobby ain't for the poor, that's for sure! :slap

I already know my 2020 is gonna be bad since I got a decent amount of EG and FFH stuff on preorder. :gah:

Now that this dropped.... lets get going with the diecast Mk I!

Just that and the two versions from Endgame and I'm done with these diecast armors for good. I mean that too, no more even if they eventually do 3.0 versions that fly, talk, and shoot exploding missiles.

Question is should I buy an extra for trade/sell bate for other armors that I am missing. Paying $433 is cheaper than 99% of the diecast Iron Men out there.

Oh hmm, good point! The only figure I'd want a 2.0 is Cap since he appears in EG...the rest, meh.

I think the rest are good enough representations of the film. I'm OK with the Cap as well, recognizing it was a few years ago. The six Avengers look awesome together, can't wait to replace my regular Mark VII with this baby!

Yeah, I actually have all of my preorders in a spreadsheet. Did a line graph by month and yikes! Once Endgame figures are through the pipeline, it'll be the occasional Star Wars and Marvel only.

Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like the bottom will drop out on some of these in the coming years. Also I feel like they're going to make a billion of these and will be in stock at SS for a while.

We're the same. Excel is a godsend at keeping what figures are on PO, where, how much, dates, etc. Mark 85 BD is my last figure I see for a long time. I recently made a switch and decided to only collect IM and SMan (movie versions) with the exception of BD Thanos and AOU Hulk. It has really made me a happier collector (focusing my collection) plus saved me some $$$ by cutting down the POs and selling some figures too. I will say Alteregocomics was pissed off because I canceled 5 POs, but kept 4 on order that they cancelled my account! I was really taken back by it. So for those of you with them becareful as they could/will cancel your account at any given time and you'll be left scrambling to find PO's. Luckily they did it at the very beginning of PO madness and it wasn't difficult for me to find replacements. Their system was very wonky too. I'd avoid them.

I was thinking the same too, now with the Marvel train coming to an end before they start the next phase. Plus IM is gone (momentarily) you can already see the dip on ebay on certain figures. That is why I really being careful on buying extras or paying too much on certain figures. The Mark46 Concept Art stuck around for a while along with Mark 2 DC.

If you look back far enough in it's thread, people probably felt the same way about Mark V.

I actually created my own spreadsheet a few weeks ago after seeing the occasional members mentioning they had their own to keep track of this hobby...and I gotta say it's an incredible tool for tracking spending and future pre-orders.

And all I gotta say is, WOW, I've spent how much on TOYS these past 4 years?!?!?! :slap :thud: :rotfl

Damn, this is the 'war machine,' version of Iron Man. And the most expensive Iron Man minus the MK50 with accessories ? Not including hulkbuster of course..

****!
These damn Diecast IMs. Honestly will be tough...trying to scale back and I?m def getting the 85 Battle Damaged.
