My kid and I recently finished NG+ to get 100% trophies...now we're just doing the DLCs in NG+ for fun. Really great game.

Just been browsing my pre-orders and after Iron Man Mk 50 (April-June), this guy is next on my release date list (July-Sept). I do hope it's nearer July than September...or it's going to be a very dry summer.

If I had to guess, the designer of the original guitar shape ("Dean" I believe) probably took exception to them using it without licensed permission and HT didn't want to fork over the extra $ it would have taken to use it legally. Guitar designers take it pretty seriously, I believe one of them recently tried to sue Funko for the Metallica vinyls.

IMO it would have to be something like that for them to deviate from the source design so much and go with something so generic... Maybe the licence for that didn't carry over from the game to HT. We'll probably never be told in any official way, so it's all up to speculation.

I'm glad I didn't order this, because that's a deal breaker.

It's not necessarily a deal breaker to me but I can see why it would be for others. Definitely stings. My biggest disappointment is that they had a chance to make the guitar a little bigger and they somehow still made it undersized.

Pretty sure it's a replacement, Hot Toys would have to license the guitar design of the original and they probably don't want to do that.

As annoying as the guitar change is, it's not a deal-breaker for me and I'm still looking forward to getting this guy. Hopefully we'll get some final product pics in the next few weeks.
