Did some rethinking....I still love Preds...just hate their fans.

I detest most predator fans. They all seem to be 15 year old videogame geeks who know nothing about quality in filmmaking. I'm a fan of the first predator film only. To me it had everything including the best creature ever designed (thanks Stan). So when i say i'm a predator fan i mean i'm a fan of Mctiernan's movie. Most Predator fans seem to only care about the creature and not about a whole film.

To be honest, to me the creature is the centerpiece of the film. When I turn on a movie involving a Predator, I want to see something get ^^^^ed up. If it has a good story, that's nice too.

I don't want to see something Oscar worthy alright? If I want that I'll watch the Bucketlist or some ^^^^.

True. The Predator movies are not in the same league as the Alien flicks. Doesnt make them bad one bit. Just diffrent.

But yeah, the creature is the high point for me. Both films.

How about how you direct that creature, how you film that creature, what kind of an environment you put it in and again how you design and film that environment. How you create suspense etc....etc..etc

Only Mctiernan knew how to do this with the predator. Mctiernan had a classical film education and it shows. He is interested in european cinema and it shows. The man clearly knows very well what he is doing. His direction made the film great in my opinion.


Stephen Hopkins; made music videos and it shows.. The man clearly knew nothing about acting or directing when he made Predator 2.


Anderson and AVP; even worse than Hopkins. Why this man is still in the busines is a mystery, must have sold his soul to the devil or something.

I disagree about Predator 2. I think its a fun movie. I sorta disagree about Anderson. He can make a good film, Event Horizon....but thats only if he directs rather then writes. IMO he's an awesome director.....just bad writer.

Straueses....eh, I'll give them another chance, provided theres no Aliens or Predators involved.

Apparently she killed an Alien Queen, so the Predators allow her to roam the universe with them, on hunts. Hard to believe isn't it. Those Predators are so sleazy.

Well, prefused, it's not like this thing is up for preorder, there is a LOT of things in that photograph in the Alien/Predator world that we can't see clearly. For all you know, they have made prototypes of the lost hunters, and we just haven't seen pics of them yet.

And for a die hard AvP comic fan, like myself, I'd gladly pay double the price for a Machiko.

I've been prayin' every day that HT's got Lost Hunter prototypes on the drawing board. If they can go and make a figure like this, then chances are they're working on the Hunters, too. Time will tell.

"The human female in Predator armour" is a huge surprise! Very interesting choice of figures. It looks to me like Hot Toys has "borrowed" from various Predator sources with this figure. There's an awful lot of Machiko Noguchi there, but there are also AvP and other Predator influences, like in the armour and weapons. It will be very interesting to see how this one is labeled. Too bad nobody seems to know what HT is calling her yet, but I don't suppose it'll be too long before someone spills it.

With Hot Toys venturing into the Expended Universe, the scope for new figures are now almost endless...

But it was a pleasant surprise that Hot Toys choose a human in Predator Armor figure. Cool!
