That shot happened so fast it took a few attempts to capture it.

There's no mark on that side:

And they're tending to his other shoulder:

Nah. Cobb was so agile that he actually dodged that blast but he twisted so fast that he caught up with the speed of the laser blast and subsequently got his left shoulder hit by the tail end of the projectile.

Breaking News!!!!

Cobb Vanth just got his own series on Disney+

That's right, fans! Now you can watch Timothy walk slow and ask people to "park over there" for 7 glorious episodes. (two of which will feature only Mando and Grogu)

Apologies, looking back at RO, it leans toward depressing to me :monkey2

With as good as these YouTube guys are with VFX, I’m expecting somebody to just re-do the Justified show with him wearing the Boba armor. They’re basically the same character.
I can see Boba going out in style, perhaps in defense of Fennic and several others, and Cobb inheriting Boba's armor, after its all over.

I always thought it’d be neat if Din just permanently loaned him his old brown armor or something. But I think with Cobb getting shot, the natural storyline would be that he definitely learns he’ll need to don armor again. Maybe just some mismatched Imperial stuff?:dunno

But the ONLY reason I don’t see Boba dying is because there’s no way they make him out to be Mr. Magoo for 4 episodes, take the back seat for these last 2, only to just kill him. The pro-Boba fandom would RIOT and these “complaints” from the past six weeks of how he’s been treated would seem like high-praise compared to what would happen:lol

I really do think all of this was just Rodriguez’s very poor way of deconstructing Boba, as that YouTube guy says, only so he could build him up. Basically what they try to do to all badass old school characters in modern day tv/movies.

But the only thing which doesn't match up is that it's Faverau writing it all. Sure a director can give his flair to something, but there are so many lines and situations which make Fett look average, and certainly not the same guy as Mando S2 debut episode. So I can't believe it's all "Ruinriguez".

Like I've mentioned before. All they had to do was make him the same kickass killer as Mando S2, and then bring him down to the "value of family" narrative over the season as a character arc. That would have been awesome.

I suspect Disney intervention myself.

Well according to Morrison he was saying to the directors he wanted to say less and have Fennec say more of his lines instead and the directors would contact Faverau and Faverau would tell him to say all of the dialogue.

Maybe his heart just wasn't in this series, since they essentially already made a Boba Fett show with their new character Din instead.

I think this is a key point we shouldn't ignore. Din is the version of Boba Fett everyone imagined, but never got to see.

So what do you do with the actual Boba? They must have realized they already made a Boba Fett show, so the only path forward is to make the character a goofy caricature of itself. Subvert expectations after all. I kinda feel bad for all the Boba Fett fans here. Boba got character assassinated just like Luke.

This is not the Boba Fett that I remember:

This is the badass I am taking about:

Right. Morrison even needing to talk to middle men definitely says something. He was always on-set for both Mando seasons. Yes, there’s a pandemic but you never got those behind the scenes pic with them.

I do expect some juicy tidbits to come out about this show about unhappiness and/or studio interfering eventually. Or at least for the Boba half of the show. You can tell Mando filming is a well oiled machine with everyone involved:lol

It's the same situation with Luke in the sequels, the actor understands the character more than the filmmakers do but they wont listen because they think they know better.

Then the show/movie comes out and they get blasted.
