ill be okay if these are indeed shipping 4th Quarter. i dont seem to have anything on order for 4th quarter yet. since Snake Eyes is shipping 1st quarter of next year i can assume SS isnt going to have much more for 4th quarter. so if this is the only collectible i buy, ill be OK. but im sure most of SS's 3rd quarter stuff will be pushed back and ill get screwed.*sigh*

I was actually thinking around $150 for the Batpod and $350 for the Tumbler.

Ditto to both of your prices. If it ends up being 250-300 and 400-500 I'll have to decline. They are awesome, but not at those prices. Especially at MRSP. Besides, I have too many cool things I want more on my preorder.

I am just insanely over the moon about this one. I have blinders on so I cannot say I will have any rational thought about these at all until they are in my possession. Will I end up overpaying? Probably. Will I care? Probably not. I cannot believe that they are even attempting this. I wonder what the edition size will be? From all of the early photos I have seen via the magazine tease and the Tokyo shots, the engineering on this thing is on a whole different level.

I showed the math in my original post on page 41...

I did some math on the numbers Eddie quoted...

Original Batman: JP¥ 22,000
Joker: JP¥ 19,800
Batpod JP¥ 32,000
Batmobile: JP¥ 49,000

verses the Toys2 prices. If I did the math right the Batmobile could be anywhere around $323-$359 while the Batpod could be $211-235.

[Figures based on: Toys2 offers Original Batman for $145, also Joker. The ratio between the JPY price and Toys2 Original Batman price is .00659 to 1 (note: I'm using sloppy math so if I'm expressing this wrong, please forgive me.) The ratio between the Joker in JPY to Toys2 is .00732 to 1. Also factoring any change in the US Dollar to the Canadian Dollar to China's money (Chinese Yuan?) by the time these are solicited is negligible.]

X is to Y where X = the Hot Toy's SRP in JPY and Y = Toys2 Price in USD

Riko did the conversion using the same tool that I did and arrived at the prices I first posted. To be honest, I'm a bit puzzled at how you arrived at such low estimates too. Yes, I imagine Toy Square will have the items for a lower price point, but I seriously doubt the savings will be what you're claiming.

Of course, if it is, that would be very welcoming indeed. :)

Well math is math. The only thing I'm claiming is that there's a mathematical relationship between the Original Batman and the Joker figure that is not the strict currency converter in the link that Riko wants us all to use. If it was then we could go to the Toys2 site and find Original Batman for $205. That's the predictable price from his currency converter. But is he $205? No. He is not. Is the Joker $177? No. That's 0 for 2 for his link. So far it is 100% inaccurate. That is the sort of "research" that Riko apparently doesn't understand and lacking that he shouldn't come in here and start talking math trash.

You can express the relationship between the JPY of Original Batman and Toys2 price as a percentage that can be applied to the JPY of the Batmobile and if the trend holds then it will predict the Batmobile's price. Since the same relationship isn't the same for the Joker I did the math that way as well.

I'm not saying this is going to be the price offered, I'm saying if anyone wants to crunch the numbers to look for a trend that doing so would yield the Batmobile being anywhere around $323-$359 while the Batpod could be $211-235.

Come on, people. This is high school math.

And all we're saying is just because there's a constant percentage between the Yen and Dollar for the figures does not mean the same percentage will be applied to the vehicles. They are apples and oranges.

Maybe, maybe not. Do we have the numbers for the power loader?

I will say, though, that with the price increases and so forth that are happening so often, it's definitely hard to extrapolate future prices from past data.

It may or may not be apples to oranges. Let's see some evidence. Does anyone have the Hot Toys SRP in JPY for the Powerloader that we could compare with the Toys2 price?

But really the point's moot. The smart thing to do is for everyone to budget for the maximum price and put any remainder in a holiday fund.

That's probably the best approach. That way, if the price ends up less, you'll have either money in savings or money to BUY MORE STUFF!!!!!! :D

Couldn't agree more. Well said :clap

These are must haves! Once they are in anyones possesion the price paid will be null and void compared to their awesomeness :D :D

Once you factor in oversized shipping from HK, I'm sure we'll be back up to the Japanese prices anyway. I'm budgeting at LEAST $450 for the Tumbler.

I already have Jabba's throne room in one corner of the living room - perhaps a Batcave display in another?

Man, the girls are going to be lining up at my door!

:rotfl But I was thinking the same thing (well not the girls part-- I'm married:eek:) as I've got Jabba's throne room dominating one part of my office-- I think if I scored the tumbler then a Batcave dio (in 1/6th scale :horror)--well a part of at least-- would definitely be called for.

Good stuff Batty :clap All this news is becoming information overload. :google

It seems every day lately that we are subjected to our wildest 1/6 scale dreams come true. This month has been fufilling those wishes :joy

Holy Crap! How do these things keep looking better and better with each shot? Also looks like the Bale sculpt is slighly different, or at least has the eyes in a different direction.
