People need to start looking at Hot Toys' product differently to Sideshow's or Gentle Giant's or Bowen's etc. These items are neither intended nor solicited as numbered collector's editions. They're expensive and highly-detailed working toys. And as such, Hot Toys will reinvent, reissue and relaunch their products over and over again, as they see fit or as technology allows. And rightly so, because that's their business model. This year we're getting Robocop reissues, Batman reissues, Iron man reissues and probably more. So getting into Hot Toys for reasons of owning limited edition collectibles is only a route to eventual disappointment. Buying a Hot Toys figure is pretty much like buying a new TV. It's great when you get it, but a year down the line the same model will have had a revamp and an upgrade and yours will be obsolete. This is the world of mass production toys, not limited edition, certificated and numbered statues, and thats always how it's going to be with HT.
