Wow, your spoiler resistance in strong, you can't have even seen a trailer if you don't know the tumbler is in the movie, I commend your strength, I cave on every spolier haha.

I try not to watch anything about it. LOL! I don't know jack and thats the way I want to keep it. :lol

Tell me about it! I really want a Bat-Pod but, naturally, I'd need a TDK Batman to go with it. I already have the new Begins suit Bats bought and paid for, but my OCD won't let me display them together.

At the end of the day, that initial $290 Bat-Pod would end up being a $450 'Pod and figure purchase, and then I'd have to deal with the awkward (for my collection, at least) redundancy of having multiple Batmen on display.

On the other hand, it's sheer bad@$$ery would no doubt make up for it.

Oh, the trials and tribulations of a nerd on a budget...Maybe I should just bite the bullet, get a Tumbler, and call it a day. :rock

For me I like the Tumbler because IMO it is just F'N cooler. The Bat Pod is ok but at the end of the day it just looks like another motorcycle with guns. That being said if I could afford both I would. :D

The Tumbler (Batmobile! It's the Batmobile, dammit! :D) is definitely cooler and infinitely more iconic but I just can't justify the space. It's huge man! Huge!

Besides...
...early indications seem to be that it gets destroyed in the new film. Does that mean another and potentially "cooler" version of Batman's ride may come down the pike in a few years? Who knows?

I look at the Bat-Pod not unlike the aforementioned Landspeeder or the Aliens dropship. It's a very specific piece from a very specific film.

That's the consensus, but
I think it's just as possible it's not destroyed but certainly immobilized beyond immediate use forcing use of the Batpod, similar to Batman Returns, if you've seen that film.

I did consider that, however...

I guess I'm operating under the theory that it's destruction or immobilization or whatever we decide to call it will serve as a chance to "upgrade" the vehicle for the next film. Kind of like the new suit. Besides, as much as it goes against everything Chris Nolan stands for as a filmmaker, I'm sure Warners would love to have a new and "improved" Batmobile on the shelves for Summer 2011. Let's not forget, they're clearly trying to have their cake (adult drama! long running time! scary villians!) and eat it too (Mattel, Mattel, Mattel!).

And of course I've seen Batman Returns. I still have the McDonald's glasses around here somewhere. :D :lol

Either way, that sucker is big and I don't know where I'd put it. No Tumbler for me.

Unless, of course, ol' Santy Claus disagrees. :D

I'm not overly concerned with what happens to the Tumbler in the film, although it would be nice if it didn't go away permanently, because that would help cement its status as an iconic vehicle. I can't see them just using the Bat-pod in the next movie, so I agree that they will either bring back the tumbler or revamp it in some way.

Anyway, I like the fact that the tumbler and the original version of Batman's suit can represent both Batman Begins and Dark Knight (depending on how anal you want to be about minor details), so that's what I'm getting.

as cool as the tumbler may be, it is not a real batmobile in my eyes....
but i do agree with your spoiler ;) if what you say in your spoiler is true, and I guess it will be so, than we can speak of
a REAL batmobile reborn

Oh? What are the requisites that you need before you deem a batmobile a "real" batmobile?

Or is it because the tumbler was a military contracted vehicle before it became the batmobile? Technically, no one ever calls the tumbler "batmobile" in the movie, so I guess in that sense, it shouldn't be considered a true batcar, but in the comics Batman usually has a garage (or cave) of 'em anyway.

ENOUGH WITH THE SPOILER TAGS!!! OCD on these forums has reached a fever pitch. Eli getting mad. RAWR!!!

And it's not really a spoiler that the Tumbler gets destroyed in the movie. It's more-so an assumption that was made. A really good one. Oh snap! Yes I did just announce it on the forums without a spoiler tag. It is an assumption that we pretty much already have made and are aware of. Granted a really good one that is most likely accurate.

hehe

Not necessarily. Nothing that I said is different from what the trailers lead on.

P.S. Wait until I am done editing before yeah quote me! hehe

hehehehehe I have been pretty good at changing the channels during the commercials. I haven't even watched a trailer. :lol I know I'm weird.

Hasn't been talked about but I got a check card and don't want to pay the 400.00 at Bigbadtoystore, soooooooooooooooooo what should I do? Is Toys2.net really going to charge it right then at there!? I rather they charged my card when they have it read to ship.

I think you need to go back to their site and read their terms more closely. Never mind I am ****** and should have read your post more close. If you have a credit card though they will hold it. A debit card and not so much.
