Every new shot of the Batpod looks fantastic, and the ideas for photographs with it swirl in my head, but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger, I hear that little voice in my head saying, great, but once you've taken your pictures and the coolness of it wears off, you're going to be left with it on your shelf wishing you had the money and space back. Why couldn't this be really cheap :lol

I'll rent you my Batpod Maulfan! $30 for 3 days :lol:lol:lol Late fees apply.

This may be a stupid question but how long will the bulbs last? Can't imagine getting them replaced though. What then?

I guess you really do learn something new each day! Didn't know LED's last forever...good to hear! Thanks

Don't take that to heart. They do not last forever. I am not sure of the exact life of them but it is a lot and I mean very lot of hours.

Edit I just googled it and smaller bulbs can last for 30,000 hours.

That means that if you left it on 24 hours a day 7 days a week they should not burn out for about 3 1/2 years.

I guess part III would be out by then and we can expect a re-release by Hot Toys to replace our burnt out LED's. :lol

Is Joe getting the Joker and both Batman figures? I've send him a PM asking about them and the Tumbler and Batpod but i havnt heard anything yet.

I believe he has sold all of his Batman and Joker figures. He is keeping a waitlist in case some transactions don't go through though.

Don't be fooled guys...LEDS life spans that you see listed anywhere is just a guesstimate. The tech is too new for any company to make a valid statement about actual burning hours. In fact, different colors have different life spans.

We use these in my line of work and the industry is constantly changing. While they last much longer than flourescent and wayyyyyy longer than incandescent bulbs, there is still no real answer to how long they last and for what color.

With that said...I doubt we would have much to worry about in terms of burning one out though.

my $.02

My guess is that the other electronic components would break or burn out long before the actual LEDs do. I don't think electronics are really Hot Toys' strong suit, at least based on the power loader.

Oh ok. I hope i hear from him soon. If i can't get them from him i guess i have to go the evilbay rout.

Is the tumbler not in the new Batman movie? The reason I ask is I preordered it and the Dark Knight version of Batman. I noticed in the tumblers description that it is made to work with the Original costume version. I don't want to by the Dark Knight version if it doesn't work or isn't in the film. Help!

A. Yes, the Tumbler is in the new movie. :D

B. I can't imagine why TDK Suit Batman wouldn't be able to fit in there. In all likelihood, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The tumbler is in TDK, and a clip has shown that he is in it with the TDK suit, my guess is they engineered the Begins suit figure to go into the Tumbler and the TDK suit for the Batpod and that's why they specify a figure with each vehicle.

Thanks guys. I don't think I would ever display him in it per say. I just wanted to make sure it was in the movie. That to me would be like displaying ROTJ luke with his landspeeder. :lol

Wow, your spoiler resistance in strong, you can't have even seen a trailer if you don't know the tumbler is in the movie, I commend your strength, I cave on every spolier haha.

Tell me about it! I really want a Bat-Pod but, naturally, I'd need a TDK Batman to go with it. I already have the new Begins suit Bats bought and paid for, but my OCD won't let me display them together.

At the end of the day, that initial $290 Bat-Pod would end up being a $450 'Pod and figure purchase, and then I'd have to deal with the awkward (for my collection, at least) redundancy of having multiple Batmen on display.

On the other hand, it's sheer bad@$$ery would no doubt make up for it.

Oh, the trials and tribulations of a nerd on a budget...Maybe I should just bite the bullet, get a Tumbler, and call it a day. :rock
