The body's a bit slender for the Ultimate Warrior. The new T-800 body might be better for the Warrior.

Agree it is too slender, but I was going for Warrior's return in 1996. He was quite a bit thinner at that time.

Hey!

To the fellows who ended up breaking that right shoulder joint on their Leonidas figures (I remember mjordan23 & Raymond Ferraro in particular), were you able to get your figure replaced? After ordering it from Dark Figures a couple weeks ago, I had the same thing happen to mine almost immediately after getting it out of the box.

Well, after not getting a reply from Hot Toys when I emailed them about how this was starting to look like a common defect of the figure itself, I was told by Wesley at Dark Figures that Sideshow (his distributor) will allow me to exchange this figure for a whole new one! As you can imagine, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief, especially after seeing how just a replacement body from eBay was going for close to the $100-range.

Anyway, I'm just seeing if any others have had similar luck pursuing the same course of actions. We certainly shouldn't be all expected to just throw our hands in the air at this situation after plunking down the serious chunk of change these figures cost!

I've moved my Leonidas sword arm outwards but haven't moved it forwards yet as it seems a bit stiff and I don't want to force it.

Can you describe exactly what you did PJB-1138 please?
You positive you didn't do anything that goes against the instructions?

I just pushed a little and then relaxed. Just like stretching a muscle. Push a little more and relax. That's how I got mine to break lose. It took a while.

Mine is not broken (YET) but will not move. My dealer is in contact with SS now seeing what we can do.

:rotfl Jeez I thought I was bad! You must be very nervous!

j/k man

I've been mega paranoid since Dutch broke with such great ease.

I do pose my figure if I have one out but if I have to force anything, I just stop.
And My Leonidas arm on a forward motion is very stiff. Outward is fine.

Got it today, package looked like it had been opened, when I slid it out of the sleeve, I can see a loose hand through the window with a broken peg. Contacted the place I got it from, hope to hear something positive.

Eamon,

Despite the warnings from others, the shoulder on my figure broke after foolishly trying to pose that right arm the exact same way it looks in the publicity photo here:

I did read the instructions about how to pose the figure & admit I may have been pushing it to the limit. However, it surprised me just how little pressure it took for that joint to break. I figured out fairly quickly that the arms will move from the shoulders about 3 or 4 detents from the 6 o'clock position, which requires a little more effort than the smooth motion it takes to move those arms outward from the upper torso. And, I assumed that the joint would exhibit some slight resistance while trying to move it in a way it's not designed for -- but such was not in this case!

Anyway, to the guys here who think the arms won't rotate back or forth from the shoulders: rest assured, that's not what will break that joint (at least not past those 3 or 4 clicks). Just give it a little wiggle & it'll loosen up fine. But if you're interested in posing that arm the same way it looks in the above photo, I strongly urge you otherwise.

In fact, has anyone here been able to pose their Leonidas figure this way?

That's not cool man! I hope you get it sorted.

But it would be a bit of sting in the awesomeness tail if by moving the arm in the advertised upward position, he's breaks.

I do think one person here has moved his arm upwards like the pic.

Anyone got the customer service email addy for hot toys? Urban collector just said see hot toys about the problem.

Yes, but that pic is also a bit misleading. The camera angle is upward from the feet of the figure so his arm ends up looking higher that it actually is. You can get him arm up there, it just doesn't look the same in person vs that picture. The pic leads you to believe his arm is above his head, when in fact it's more in front of him.

I've been only able to stomach moving the arms all the way straight out either way. In front of him is the most scary, as I feel really uneasy with going any higher the straight out in front.

I think this is a fantastic figure to look at, but as possibility is concerned, blows, can't pose him without thinking he'll break. Mixed bag for me.
