I might've asked this before, but I've been working on my General Maximus figure for so long I forget...

What did you use for the greaves (shin guards?) and the vambraces? Also, what boots/shoes are you using?
I think I have the rest pretty much covered... the shoulder guards are custom made, correct?

I'm not intending to make a perfectly accurate representation, just want to get as much of the "feel" correct as possible.

Thanks!

How come nobody ever got the license for Gladiator figures? That's perfect material right there!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if HT grabbed the license one of these days... it's the perfect license for them: one character made in two different versions (Maximus the General and Maximus the Gladiator) with a few extras in each release. Or perhaps just one release as a DX figure.

Probably Russell being a harda$$. I know Maximumus would be a must-buy for a whole stack of people, myself included.

:exactly:

I'd love to see HT tackle Maximus, although they'd be hard-pressed to top my Maximus in Gladiator gear Seb custom :lol

They did include two extra, if you weren't already aware.

I've just checked my box and there are NO extra pegs in it :( I thought the only thing that was missing when it arrived was the instruction sheet. I imagine it's too late to put an enquiry into BBTS. I haven't been looking, but a quick check of ebay and there are none to be had except with a pair of hands. Looks like I got stung by dodgy QC at the HT end and a bit of cluelessness on my end as to what should have been in the box.

I'd be surprised if this became a DX, though. MMS would be more realistic unless they change the line's direction.

That Maximus looks really good. If Hot Toys made a Maximus and William Wallace they would become instant classics.

I agree, I would buy a William Wallace figure in a heartbeat, there are so many movies that I want HT to make figures from but the chances are slim to none.

Triad just put a new base up for pre-order. It looks pretty sweet.
