:lol... a second factory to service impatient dolly collectors.
It sounds silly but I do think they need to do something different. They clearly have more on their plate than they can handle and while I don't mind waiting a bit it would be nice to get figures in a shorter window rather than have to wait a year or more in a lot of cases.

Another factory would help big time. I'm not a fan of a movie coming out, then wait a year to year and a half for the first item to come out. They need to ride the hype, get those peoples money who are in the hype, not wait for them not to give a **** later and moved on to something else.

They need two new factories by the time Batman/Superman hit.

OK, lets mass produce them like Mattel does and watch the quality go down. What we love about the Hot Toys figure is what takes so much time to achieve. QUALITY!!! I'll wait if it will maintain the high quality of the figures, and I'm 77 years old and don't have that much wait time left.

I don't think adding an extra factory or more workers would mean a drop in quality. If anything it makes more sense for them as they can get product in people's hands sooner, get paid sooner, and move on to the next project. I love Hot Toys quality too but the wait times aren't the funnest thing in the world. Even if they could cut it in half so projects are roughly coming out say six months after we order would be better.

And build said factory in the states to keep importing costs down haha

:lol Good luck finding a single person in the US who's prepared to work for Chinese wages.

Fixed it for ya! :wink1:

You guys make it sound like Hot Toys aren't already rolling in so much Iron Man cash that they could give a stuff about getting another production line going to roll out non-Iron Man dollies faster.

Or, instead of building a new factory, you could learn to be patient, and realize that these are high end, high quality and high cost collectibles that simply take time to make. I'm going to guess that would be easier than buiding a new fractory. :wave

Really though if every company used that model hardly anything would be produced. I'm not saying rush half assed products out but it wouldn't be so bad to have a lead time of say six months or so as opposed to a year or more. I'm all for quality too but I think they could maintain that while speeding the process up a bit by getting more workers.

How about a dedicated factory that only produces the IM line...then the regular factory can handle everything else! It could be a whole separate division of HT called "Cashcow Toys"

I'm not saying this to be a smart***, but unless you know the production process of every company, you can't make this statement.

HT is clearly a successful company. I think taking production advice from collectors like me or anyone here who is not qualified, would probably bring QC to an all time low and slow things even worse than they are now.

:exactly:

really annoying when people speculate on HTs production process. Its been going on for years and years with this site and collectors. Some even make statements of what they think things cost piece by pieces. Gets a little silly...

Wow dude settle down :lol. I didn't mean to come across as claiming to know what their production times/processes are like, however when multiple releases are delayed for months at a time it seems like they could at least use a bit more help. Doesn't take much to figure that out. I do give Hot Toys credit for releasing good quality products I just think it might be beneficial to them and to us if they had more people working on these figures but what do I know. I'm just offering my opinion based on what seems to be a trend with the company (that they pretty normally shoot for one date but that date is pushed back months at a time in a lot of cases). It's not like I think they'll take what I, a lone person/consumer on a message board they probably don't even read into consideration.

You're the one suggesting a multi million dollar company open up a new factory and you sugggest that I should settle down? :slap

I'm perfectly "settled" and fine with how HT does business. My statement wasn't made in an unsettled manner. Just rationallity.

Well you did seem to take it pretty personally or something as if it was such an asinine comment of me to make. I'm judging off the public view of the company granted. Admittedly I don't know how they do business I meant it more as an observation. Like I said I don't expect them to take my advice. Just spouting off about figures I really want :lol didn't mean to come off rude.

Aren't almost all toys imported from China? What makes Hot Toys any different they have to jack up the prices?

This is a public forum for toys. Unless you were calling my mom a ho, I wouldn't take anything personally. :wave And regardless of it being your opinion, I do think suggesting to open another factory is a bit out there and extreme. But thats my opinion.
