Scott promiced to get into the back door of the original movie (which he ruined) - and you hoped for something? :dunno

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

I think the hope was the return of THE Xenomorph. What I expected was sonething along the lines of a better AVP, what I feel like I got was a Syfy Original with bootleg variations of Xenomorphs, intertwined in multiple film stories, with references from Spaceballs to Black Stallion. At the end of the film, I just couldn't help but think of all the trolls that lost their minds with Star wars Episode 1 yelling "George raped my childhood"... For once, I sat next to those people yelling "Scott figuratively raped my childhood". Everytime I actually sunk into the film as a fan, some off the wall dialogue went down, or some over the top CGi scene happened. When you have a android saying "put this in your mouth and blow, I'll finger the holes" the entire audiencr sucked every cubic square inch of air up in the room. Thats not common dialogue. Thats some farts and **** lines from a comedy. Awkward robot kiss. Awkward robot love angles, and why in the **** did the aliens have Predator like click vocals??? The Alien was changed from the ground up. From design, sound, characteristics, etc. Remember that silent stalker? Those days are gone, because Hollywood feels that is too boring. Things must move fast. And god forbid if they are silent. Noise in films are defining. **** this movie. **** Ridley Scott.

Good lord man, get a grip!

I have to agree with Jayrod.
There are many inconsistencies with the established cannon of the Alien franchise. This coming from its originator is what's even more frustrating.

I think Ridley Scott represented himself as David in these movies.
Ide hands, and on a mission to **** stuff up.

I will say, I enjoyed a creation becoming a creator. But #NotMyXenomorph.I enjoyed the shower scene.

Sorry for that, I have no clue how to do that.
like any tags, but you put a word "spoiler" in them instead of "img", "quote" and so on.

Caught Covenant last night. Highly enjoyable. The confidence in itself, its pacing and plot, the actors' performances across the board, all of it lightyears better than Prometheus. I agree with a previous poster that one or two action scenes were un-Alien-y, but in general it delivered well over my expectations which, admittedly, after Prometheus and The Martian, were low. It was a big step away from its origins and creature scares, to more of a sci-fi thriller. And maybe that was just what the franchise needed. 7.5/10.

Disappointed with the film, but I did think the Xeno design is close enough to Giger's aesthetic that I would buy a figure of it. Everyone seems to love the neomorphs, but I thought they looked like white blobs of blurry cgi.

So HT wasting time putting up a teaser poster for something they were never gunna make..........again
