p.s. Why didn't they pose the figures more in that video?? He barely bent Kane's arm when he said they were fully poseable. That's not too much to ask for is it
They didn't do a close-up of the heads either, which was driving me crazy...so maybe those prototypes are not final.

p.s. Get Dallas and a 40GB PS3. You won't need PS2 backwards compatibility with the PS3 games coming out soon.

Strange that this should come up as this morning i was watching the Alien bonus disc in the quadrilogy set(better than jeremy kyle!)and they mentioned that the suits were made of a soft vinyl,no mention of cloth.So all who were down on Hot Toys for this i feel owe them an apology.
Im amazed these have nt sold out yet.Easily two of the finest figures i ve seen from anyone.

The only reason the hot toys preds sold out so quick is because of all the annoying kids who have got into the predator line and there rich parents have bought them.

That may be true of parts of the suit, but I don't think it's very likely that the parts that look like cloth were made of soft vinyl. Even if they were, they would have been sewn together rather than cast into shape like the figures, so it's not exactly the same thing.

i have no idea, but initially i said i would ONLY order the crew in their Nostromo uniforms, but like a drug that Hot Toys releases into all their products, i'm completely hooked and will suffer withdrawal symptoms until the next one is announced.

Haha yeah, HT is like crack to most of us film fans. But I too am hoping they'll make the crew, dare I say it, even before the Giger Alien is made.

Just watched the movie again on DVD and I have a couple of thoughts:
1. The red light they have inside the helmet is way too bright. In the movie it is just a red dot, doesn't give off that red light that covers the face.
2. I don't think the head sits too far down. In the movie you see more of the actor's face because they are crouching a lot. The crouch lowers the helmet and gives viewers a better view of the faces. If they were standing straight up it looks pretty much like the Hot Toys figures IMO.
On a sidenote those who haven't listened to Ridley Scott's commentary should really check it out. He has so many ideas that are so interesting. For example he imagined that the Space Jockey civilization were using the alien eggs as biological weapons. He also used kids in miniature space suits to make the spaceship prop look bigger. The insides of the facehugger is made of fresh oysters and clams! Scott also originally intended Dallas and Ripley to have a relationship but it didn't go anywhere so it was dropped.
