I don't know.. I'd have thought the suit would've grown on me by now.

I think in the film it'll look a lot better, but the on set stills just look baaaaaad.

I hate both Reboots (The MAn of Steel and The Amazing Spiderman) they have been made only for COMMERCIAL purposes,
so all the licenses holders of the old movies will have to buy a new license to produce new items.

I think MARVEL STUDIOS want to lure also the ladies to see their movies by having hansome actors from Telenovelas to take the part of superheroes but it will be a failure......
(You know...when a couple the friday afternoon choose a movie, guys always get a thumb bottom to all the superheroes movies)

Garfield's fine. I think he looks more like the comic book Parker than Tobey ever did.

Spidey was a kid, not a muscle man. Of course, this depends on which version YOU think is definitive - i.e; Ditko, Romita, Macfarlane etc..

When i think of that scene it reminds me of a better more quip worthy scene from anepisode on the 90's cartoon.

Spiderman was a short, toned, wiseass kid. That's what I remember. I think Garfield will be alright but in the suit he doesn't look great. He should have had at least a little muscle suit on. That really doesn't bother me as much as the shoes! How is spiderman supposed to climb walls with thick rubber soles on his shoes! WTF!

I think it is not Garfield in any single action shot but a Stuntman.
You can see he is slightly shorter and has more muscles than Garfield.

Come on, be honest,
which other purpose than that was to paint in black the groin area to enhance it?
It is made on purpose, it´s not just a mistake.

the Tobey Version didn´t needed to show his genitalia to please the audience.

The Tobey costume was PERFECT, slightly changed from the comic version but perfect.
I love this costume, the Garfield costume says nothing to me.

Of course it looks bad in those pics, there's a reason for cinematography.

The soles of the boots are pretty ugly, but how often are you gonna see them?

The trailer gives of a brooding darker vision of Spider-man, which is cool for Black costumed Spidey, i hope there is some classic Peter wisecracking, not the painfully unfunny quips of Tobey.

It screams "I'm a costume designer trying to justify my job!"

James Acheson reached near perfection in the Raimi films.

In attempting to be a hip, edgy, extreme-sport take on the Ditko classic, it manages to look like an overly busy gimp suit.
